Dr. Widmann is an exceptional pediatric orthopedic surgeon with an excellent bedside manner! He performed a spinal fusion, for my son with kyphosis, in July. My son is recovering very well! What impressed me most about Dr. Widman was that when he walked into the waiting area, to inform me that my son's surgery was a success, he sat down to have a conversation with me which was disarming. I noticed other providers stand and looked down to family member to share information. In addition, Dr. Widmann visited my son every day in the hospital while he was recovering. Again, every time Dr. Widmann walked into the hospital room, he immediately sat down to discuss my son's progress and answer any questions. Thank you Dr. Widmann for your genuine care, compassion and engagement! Without reservation, I highly recommend him to my family and friends!

Dr. Widmann is an exceptional pediatric orthopedic surgeon! He performed spinal fusion for my son, with kyphosis, in July. My son is having a smooth recovery and hitting all the milestones as outlined by Dr. Widmann. Dr. Widmann saw my son every day when he was in the hospital recovering. He walked into the Hospital room and immediately sat down which eliminated any intimidation and communication barriers. He took the time answered all questions, from me and my son, to put our minds at ease. He has an excellent bedside manner! Thank you Dr. Widmann for your care, compassion and engagement!

I am so thankful to have found Dr Widmann. My daughter had surgery for her scoliosis at HSS and we could not be happier with the result! We previously went to another hospital system when she was younger and her degree of curvature was considerably less, and the doctor pushed us to choose surgery as our only option even when we were still on the fence about it. That doctor made me feel very jaded and I was at a loss how to find another doctor that I could trust. Fast forward a few years and most everyone I asked referred me to HSS. Dr Widmann is a giant of a man with a heart to match! He was very detailed in his analysis and even told us that there was no rush and my daughter could still wait many years before surgery! He was not about making false diagnoses and scaring us into having surgery ASAP. He addressed all of our concerns throughly, we continued going in for periodical evaluations and when the time felt right for my daughter to have her surgery, that’s when we did it. My daughter is now a thriving and confident young woman thanks to Dr Widmann! She is studying health sciences in college and hoping to make an impact one day on someone else’s health. Thank you so much Dr. Widmann!

My daughter was 16 and her curvature was over 100 degrees. Dr. Widmann operated on her and reduced the curvature down to 50 degrees. Great result! During every visit, he answered every question, and each one of his staff communicated with us professionally and efficiently. There is barely any wait time, all phone calls were returned within a couple of hours. All our concerns were addressed and responded. Thank you Dr. Widmann, and his office staff, and the HSS nurse team!!

Dr. Widmann is a miracle worker! He was able to correct my son's 70 degree curvature to 0 degree, which is difficult to do in patients with PWS, due to bone density issues. He had a wonderful bedside manner and even had his team pray with my son before his surgery, when my son requested it. I am so thankful we found HSS & Dr. Widmann!

Dr. Widmann is AMAZING! My son had a 70 degree curvature in his spine and Dr. Widmann was able to correct it to 0 degree curvature, which is not typical in patients with PWS. I am so thankful for Dr. Widmann changing my son's life! He was so through and kind when dealing with our son and family.

Dr Widmann performed spinal fusion surgery on my son in May for Kyphosis. He is a wonderful surgeon with an excellent bedside manner. He makes you feel comfortable right from the start and answers all of your questions. HSS is an amazing hospital and all of the staff there were top notch. We had a very positive experience and would highly recommend Dr Widmann.

Our son had scoliosis and Dr. Widmann and his team were excellent at providing him with a posterior spinal fusion. They discovered another neurosurgical problem during his evaluation and Dr. Widmann was great in coordinating care to have it addressed at the same time. The care has been excellent. As a pediatrician, I knew exactly where to take my son when he was diagnosed. We were very happy with the pre-surgical evalulation, procedure and post-op care.

Dr. Widmann and his staff are excellent. We received great pre-operative care, a successful surgery and post-surgical followup. The office runs very smoothly - including reception, radiology, medical staff and scheduling support.

The best!! We drove almost 3 hours to have Emme's surgery at HSS. Doctor Widmann fused Em's spine from T2 to L4 and she was home 4-days later and 5 days after she is only taking Tylenol and Advil for mild pain. The entire staff at HSS are superb and would highly recommend Dr. Widmann.
