Dr. Hartl listened and responded to all my questions in the pre-op consultation. Prior to the surgery he listened to my concerns, allayed my fears and explained the procedure. Post-surgery, I felt most of the pain was gone and I was able to walk out of the hospital about 5 hours after surgery was performed. Pretty Amazing!

Amazing doctor, I am grateful that I was referred to Dr. Hartl, he was able to pin point my fathers back pain and recommended the appropriate surgery. He then right away connected us to the surgical team to start scheduling everything. Very smooth and easy process.

I felt completely trusting of Dr Hartls advice and expertise. He was straight forward, competent and did not push for any unnecessary surgical intervention. He suggested alternate treatment such as Physical Therapy and/or a possible steroid injections for my pain. I respect his conservative approach. Cornell Weill is not only beautiful, clean and professional it has one of the finest medical staffs I have ever experienced. I've worked in health care, mainly the operating room, for over 30 years. Therefore I have been around many many physicians and surgeons. Dr Hartl, and my cervical surgeon, Dr Riew, are 2 of the finest physicians I have ever met.
