I wish all medical visits could be like the one I had with Dr. Werter: friendly front office, zero wait time, a curious, patient doctor who fully listened to everything I said and responded with clarity as well as care. While clearly an expert in his subject area, he also demonstrated a holistic approach to better understanding what underlying causes might be at play. It was impressive and refreshing. I hope he never retires!

He accepted just about all major insurance. He give me appointment really quick. I have a lot of heels problem which he was able to help me with. He very nice person too. I would definitely recommend him to others.

Dr. Werter is very accessible, knows his stuff and quickly reached out to our referring doctor and solve the issues with my son's broken foot. I haven't actually been to his office yet due to a scheduling issue (on my end; not Dr. Werter's fault) but I have found his responsiveness to be great. Also, he has the boot we need at his office. When you are searching for a podiatrist, one question you might want to ask is whether they have the medical supplies you might need in stock so you can get them at your visit. Some medical practices do not have this; they write you a prescription and then you have to get yourself to a medical supply store or hope you order the right size online. With Dr. Werter having the thing we need in stock and ready to fit it, its a much easier solution. Also, as another reviewer mentioned, his office is on the first floor and easy to get to, which is good if you are having foot problems.

He asked me if my breasts had always drooped...this from a foot doctor! One day that turned unexpectedly hot he told me I smelled and should spend more time in the shower; once I fell through an old chair and asked him if he had ever bruised a tailbone. "I don't break chairs," he said loftily. On the other hand, he did get me a contraption to promote healing when I broke my foot, and he was always reachable by phone or email.

Dr. Werter has an outstanding blend of professional experience that encompasses both old fashioned training with leading edge technology. He’s does not aggressively push surgery, but instead discusses options. He’s in a very convenient upper west side location. My husband and I both see him for issues from bunions to neuropathy. We wholeheartedly recommend him.
