List of Roniel Weinberg's Reviews
I saw Dr Weinberg for about two years he was one of only two PM doctors out of 7 that I have seen over the last 9 years that actually treated me like a human. Like any PM Dr. they must approach patients with reserve until they feel they can trust them. He to this day is the only PM Dr. that gave me any relief from my pain with out pills. He listened to me and tried procedures outside the box I was so greatful for my time with him I had such progress with him just from the lack of stress he put on me. I had to leave his practice as I lived in another state and had to drive an hour to get to him each month. I was sent to him after Hip Surgery at NYP. I highly recommend him
Dr. Weinberg was my doctor for a couple of years until my insurance coverage changed and he was no longer in an in-network provider. He was a friendly, competent physician. Because of my particular health issue, extra care was needed so that steroid injections weren't painful and I appreciated very much that he took the extra care that was needed. Also, unlike too many physicians nowadays, he never made me feel that i was taking up too much of time with questions or concerns.
Dr. Weinberg is thorough in all steps of treatment, beginning with diagnosis. He is careful not to offer procedures or medications that have a low chance of success. He does go the extra mile to see that one gets the treatment plan during hospitalization, if required and his follow through care and that of his staff, is excellent.
If you are looking for a top-notch pain expert, Dr. Weinberg is for you. If you are looking for a prescription pad and expect to be handed free narcotics, go somewhere else. Dr. Weinberg is one of the most thorough, patient, and attentive physicians I used. Like a sleuth, he is very careful to leave no stones unturned in order to understand and treat the pain. His philosophy is best described as: treat as non-invasively as possible, explore as many viable options as possible, and use narcotics as a last resort. Dr. Weinberg takes his time with each and every patient, giving everyone the same high-quality standard of treatment. He takes the time to listen, pays attention to every detail, and goes that extra mile to find the best treatment path. It’s that high standard of care that keeps chronic pain patients like me coming back. If you want real pain management, then Dr. Weinberg is your guy. If you are looking for a pill dispensary, best just find someone else.
Dr. Weinberg is a caring, knowledgable and thorough physician. I trusted him from my initial visit and continue to do so. I suffered from excruciating pain in my low back and leg from a disc herniation. He took the time to explain to me the nature of my problem and possible causes for my pain. He was honest about the procedures he offered and medications he thought would best fit my diagnosis. He does not rush to load his patients up on pain killers, which I think some MD's do and which I find to be lazy! I am a busy working mother and my goal was to feel BETTER not clouded and tired. Dr. Weinberg gave me my life back! I have recommended him to my closest relatives.
I have seen Dr Weinberg a few times and although I admit he is moody he is better then some of the other pain management doctors. I admit for pain management you should expect people to be on pain medication because they are IN PAIN! He runs hot and cold one day he is great the next day he doesn't talk to you. He can be a bit condescending but if you keep principals before personalities I think he cares about people. Admit tingly he is very conservative with meds, he tries and has been a lot better then some of the other pain management doctors I have seen. Bottom line he airs on the side of caution a practice that some other pain management doctors should follow. Is he a bit to conservative with the medication? yes but hey at least he is honest about it. Pain management is a funny thing doctors always think people are exaggerating about how much pain they are in, that is sad somewhere I wish they would not treat people that are in pain like we are invisible. I think Dr Weinberg listens and cares.
Arrogant, unhelpful and quick to blame patient for problems. It is also impossible to contact with this doctor via phone or messaging system.
I was disappointed by the entire experience. I did not feel the doctor was confident in his job, especially since he seemed surprisingly cocky about how they do things there. I would liken him to athe rookie that was called up to the big club in September when rosters are expanded. I don't doubt he may be a fine anthesiologist in the O.R., but he lacks patient skills and allowed his assistent to do the entire exam and rode in on his high horse and scarcastically asked, "What do we owe the honor of this visit.? I could not believe he hadn't read the six pages I was forced to fill out. He was not helpful. He suggested they do things differently there. Like he's on the Yanks putting down the other teams is how cocky he seemed but he never explained alternative methods or knew what pains I suffer from. I didn't tell him Im a retired cop and know social skills which he lacked. I wondered how I got an early appointment the next day with the obvious low man on the totem pole. Trust my review
This doctor is by far the worst dr I have ever met. He was only concerned with the medication I was taking. He failed to look at my infected leg that had three major surgeries from a dislocated ankle and dislocated shin bones. He did not look at the MRI of the shoulder surgery I had there and was retorn. He had the nerve to judge me wrongly. He added he would gladly take a call from the doctor that sent me there but I explained he felt I needed specialized care and pain management centers could write the meds I need and give alternate procedures to hopefully allow me to come off the meds safely. Still Dr. Weinberg said he would speak to him and give the ok to my pcp to continue writing the prescriptions but he would not prescribe medications that allow me to live a somewhat normal existence. This review is not because he would not help me wean off, which I asked him to do. It was the manner in which he made his decision based on my paperwork medication list. Not knowledgable with meds.
I thought Doctor Weinberg was fantastic. I came in with awful pain and he was so helpful between the medications and the treatments, I am fully recovered. I would recommend him in a heartbeat!

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
