List of Salila Kurra's Reviews
I’ve been a patient of Dr. Kurra for more than a decade. She is very knowledgeable, caring and pays attention to my questions. The office could be more organized, but I attribute that to the hospital system. Once you’re inside the office you are under the best care.
I was referred to Dr. Kurra by Dr John Paneros, (who is great BTW) and was looking forward to my appointment with her. When I called to make an appointment, the staff was EXTREMELY RUDE and CONDESCENDING. I let it slide, thinking that surely Dr. Kurra would be worth it, since she was referred by Dr. Paneros. I scheduled a video visit 2 months in advance. That video visit was supposed to be today. I didn't received any calls, emails or texts to confirm or to explain how I would receive the video call link. I called the office an hour before and left a message. No one called me back. I called several times and only reached their voicemail. My appointment time came and went. Unprofessional, rude and disorganized. Don't recommend.
Dr. Kurra is an excellent physician. She is a great listener, is friendly, comtemplative, and helpful. She does mention evidence based research during her visit, which I very mucjh appreciate. She clearly has vast clinical experience with thyroid and adrenal issues.
I had a telehealth visit with Dr. Kurra regarding thryoid and adrenal issues. Dr. Kurra is an excellent physician. She is a great listener, is friendly, comtemplative, and helpful. Dr.Kurra is a noted expert who is a most exceptional physician. She is caring, humble, kind, knowledgeable. She is an exceptional diagnostician. Following me for many years she noticed a slight change on my thyroid ultrasound. And in the most gentle way she saw me through the next steps, assuring me every step of the way that everything was caught early and I would be fine. For me to have so much trust reveals just how remarkable she is . She works with the most exceptional team and I was referred to her by my exceptional para thyroid specialist Dr. Shonni Silverberg. It’s 74 years old now I just feel so supported and place my trust in Dr Kurra. She has a wonderful office and promptly returns calls and stays on top of her patient care
I have been a patient of Dr. Kurra for the past three years. From the beginning I have been impressed with her professionalism and knowledge. She has great bedside manners and I always walk out of her office feeling well taken care of. She cares very much as to how her patients are doing and I really appreciate that. When I’ve called her office she responds quickly to my inquiries or concerns. I highly recommend Dr. Kurra. You can’t go wrong with her. She’s a great doctor and a lovely person.
This is a review of Dr. Kurra's office and not Dr. Kurra. However, she is complicit in the incompetencies of her support staff. They do not answer their phones, causing situations in which patients go over a week without medication. They give conflicting information even when a patient is going through the process of preparing for surgery, and ontop of this are extremely rude when you do get a hold of them. Dr. Kurra needs to look into this problem and rectify. It is legitimately unethical to leave patients without medication refills, not explain important procedures, and be completely unavailable to those with chronic illnesses who are already struggling day to day. Horrific.
Dr. Kurra is a run of the mill endocrinologist, who does not look beyond standard thyroid symptoms, and performs basic thyroid tests and treats only with synthetic hormone. She is dismissive of ties between thyroid issues (Hashimoto's in my case, an autoimmune condition) and pre-diabetes, metabolism struggles, and other issues. Research shows that one autoimmune condition leads to another, but Dr. Kurra approach and practice is limited. Specific dietary approaches are also immensely helpful for certain thyroid conditions, but Dr. Kurra is an inside-the-box thinker. I found her to be mediocre, and her pushback and dismissiveness naive. Keep searching until you find the right endo! They are out there! As an additional note, her office staff is incompetent and does not answer the phone. I have gone over a week without medications due to their behaviors.
There is no finer person and no better thyroid specialist than Dr Kurra . She is astute compassionate and the finest in her field.tge best office staff.
Dr Kurra is the finest endocrinologist- she is brilliant, humble, patient, compassionate, reassuring and an astute diagnostician. Her staff is wonderful-understanding, efficient and caring. You go to the best and receive the all around best- .supportive and approachable. To have your specialist get right back to you is reassuring and all around special.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
