Dr. Azhar saw my dad today. He was very thorough, took his time and was very knowledgeable. I felt like he knew right away what was going on with my dad and is sending him for further testing to confirm what he suspects. We had to book months in advance to see Dr. Azhar however the wait was most certainly worth it. Five stars to Dr. Azhar and thank you for all you do !
I made an appointment SEVERAL months ago. I called from a car stuck in horrible traffic to say I was running a little late. I had been in the car for an hour, but at that time I was maybe 5 minutes away. I was told that my appointment would not be honored because I was expected to arrive just 5 minutes beyond their 15 minute grace period, but I could re-schedule for an appointment 5 months in the future after already waiting about 3 months for the appointment that was not honored. I won’t be re-scheduling with him.
I had my first visit with Dr Azhar and Miss M. Masri earlier today. Both were amazing. They are extremely thorough. THEY LISTEN to the patient. They look at multiple options instead of just giving stale info or orders. They both have a great personality and most importantly: I walked in a bit worried about my condition, I walked out absolutely certain that I will receive the best medical care & advice from them in the future.I will recommend them to friends & family.
I had COVID in my nervous system. Dr Azhar is very knowledgeable, extremely helpful, highly recommend.

Good
After a few years commuting to NYP (Columbia campus) every 12 weeks for my Focal Hand Dystonia treatments - I (and my Nurse Practitioner spouse ) were thrilled with every aspect of initial visit/assessment with Dr. S. Azhar and staff. Dr. Azhar was an 'Officer & Gentleman; has the most contemporary equip; rare and relaxing communication style; immaculate office/equipment; Shout-out to: Adm. staff, Clinical staff, and especially - "ALLAH"...best 'assistant' i've encountered. Great practice!
Allow me to give just 1 word for Dr AZHAR,. Lifesaver. Been seeing him since my stroke in 2002 and if he hadn't told me about the baclofen pump I do believe that I would have ended my life years ago. He is the best in my opinion
The time it takes to get to the doctor is ridiculous. While I understand getting "hung up" at the hospital but you sit there and wait for your appt. and then it's cancelled! This is not how one expects to be treated. When you finally get to the see Dr. Azhar he's very nice but certainly not worth the 1 hour+ wait - he's an average neurologist. Wait and wait and wait for average treatment at best - nothing special in his approach to stroke or Alzheimer's treatment.
Ok, Granted i have seeing this Doctor over 8 years since i had my stroke and to me, i can honestly say, without him i do not truly believe i would have survived. This Dr. has gone through the fire with me as for my therapy, PT and OT as well as, for example, severasl times over the course of a few years I have contacted him say, a Sunday evening or an evening after hours, rather, way after hours and guess what. He would tell me to meet him in the office or the ER depending on my need at the time. In closing, as far as I am concerned, no Doctor, other than my own brother has helped me more than Dr. Azhar and thats the truth. I cannot regard him any higher than I already do

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
