My first meeting with Dr. Sebastian A. Mayer was the most memorable experience I have ever had with regard to medical care. This highly intelligent and extremely competent specialist demonstrated exceptional patience, understanding, and, most of all, compassion. He was able to answer all of my many questions in a way that was not only clear and satisfactory, but that gave me peace of mind as well. He was also very generous with his time, in order to prepare me for difficult procedures to come. I consider myself very fortunate to be his patient and to actually put my life in his hands.

I have been under Dr. Mayer's care since 2013 after being diagnosed with Mayo Displasia. With that said I couldn't have asked for a better health provider to take care of and monitor my condition. After I was referred to Dr. Mayer, I was in bad shape. He chose a chemo treatment that was nothing short of success. In conclusion I would like to thank Dr. Mayer for the way he's been taking care of my health needs for the last 7 years and hopefully for many more years to come

Extremely professional, kind hearted and a genius in his field. I would have been long gone if it wasn't for this man. Let's go through some of the things he has done. Pros: Always positive and has a perfect approach with his his patients. Very considerate and humble. You'd expect someone with as much experience and knowledge as him to be at least semi-arrogant. Not this one. Extremely apt at explaining your condition, the treatment and prevention of it. If I can understand what he says, anybody can. Bedside manners are on point. Forget those rumors about doctors walking in, checking the chart and leaving without saying a thing. This man will talk to you like a human and not like a number on his to do list. Consistently demonstrates a desire for your wellbeing in every aspect. Most doctors will ask you about your condition and leave it at that. This doctor? How is your mental health? How are things at home? Are you eating well? Are you happy? This man cares about his patients in every regard. Cons: Thinks that NYC blizzards are a joke and will make you feel silly for every snow day you ended up taking at school. Best doctor in New York.

Dr. Mayer Is absolutely wonderful and thorough! He and his team at Weill Cornell and the doctors and nurses at New York Presbyterian literally saved my life! I am so very fortunate and so very grateful to be under his care.

Dr. Mayer is a wonderful and gentle person, with great knowledge of medicine. His personality and the way he examines me and explains my situation in a such compassionate, friendly and sometimes with great humor makes me feel much better. Thank you, Dr. Mayer.

I got my Covid 19 and antibody test within a few minutes of my arrival. The results of both tests were available to be within hours. Efficient service!

Dr. Mayer, along with Dr. Rutherford, all of my nurses and the entire New York Presbyterian staff helped save my life. They were and still are as dedicated to my well being as I am. We all worked extremely hard to restore my health. I am for ever grateful. Regards, Frank Troy
