List of Siny Dermatology 's Reviews
I visited the office in late July for a consultation. I informed the office during my visit that I was only responsible for my copay, but they insisted on charging me my deductible. After my insurance claim was finalized, it was clear I had been overcharged. Despite multiple attempts to contact the billing department, I never received a refund or any clear communication. I’ve also seen other users leave similar reviews, so people should be aware of potential billing issues before visiting.
I had such a wonderful experience at SINY Dermatology & Cosmetic Surgery, and I cannot recommend Mallory Des Champs, PA-C enough. From the moment I arrived, the staff was professional, welcoming, and efficient. Mallory truly went above and beyond to make me feel comfortable and cared for. She took the time to listen to all of my concerns, explained every step of the process clearly, and never made me feel rushed. Her professionalism is matched by her warmth—she is knowledgeable, attentive, and has a gentle approach that immediately puts you at ease. I left feeling confident in the care I received and very happy with the results. It’s rare to find a provider who combines such clinical expertise with genuine compassion, but Mallory does exactly that. If you’re looking for a dermatology practice that treats you with kindness while delivering excellent results, I highly recommend Mallory Des Champs and the team at SINY Dermatology.
Dr Gruson, is very caring and is an amazing doctor! will continue to recommend. Amazing Dr and staff!! ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️⭐️⭐️
Dr. Costner McKenzie is an amazing dermatologist — professional, kind, and truly attentive. His care makes you feel safe and valued. The whole office team is warm and welcoming, turning every visit into a wonderful experience. Highly recommend!
Professional care and attention to my needs.
My dermatologist is excellent, but the prescription process at SINY Dermatology is a nightmare. I've been a patient here for over a year, and the ongoing issues with prescription refills have been frustrating enough that I can no longer recommend this practice. Here’s why: 1. They push third-party delivery pharmacies over your preferred one - SINY routinely tries to route prescriptions through a delivery pharmacy out of queens rather than the pharmacy you choose. They’ll tell you it’s cheaper and more convenient, but in my experience, that hasn’t been true. The delivery pharmacy never worked properly for me. I wasn’t receiving the texts they claimed they sent, and it turned into endless back and forth. Transferring prescriptions back to my preferred pharmacy became a hassle, and SINY has no online portal to manage any of this. Even worse, the “prescription refill line” in their phone system leads nowhere; you actually need to select the "front desk" option which connects you to a general call center. 2. The refill process is broken and the burden falls entirely on the patient - After some initial chaos, I finally hit a rhythm with my prescriptions, but that didn’t last. I’ve now lost count of how many times I’ve had to call both the pharmacy and SINY just to get a routine refill. I’ve asked for 90-day supply or 3 month refill prescription to reduce this stress, but the process still resets every month. Most recently, when I asked why this was happening, the SINY call center representative told me it’s my responsibility to manage refills because “the doctors see hundreds of patients a day and can’t remember everyone’s prescriptions.” I’m not asking them to remember, I’m asking them to implement a system where patients can reliably access their medications without jumping through hoops every month. The call center person suggested I do Telehealth for a quicker prescription response, but I’m genuinely confused by that. I have no issue going to the dermatologist every six months, as required for this prescription (in fact, I prefer in person visits). But setting up a Telehealth appointment every single month just to get a refill? That makes no sense. Where’s the logic in that suggestion? This has become one of the most stressful parts of my month, every month, and I have honestly stayed because the dermatologist I see is really incredible. For that reason, while I have nothing but praise for the actual dermatology care, I strongly urge you to take your business elsewhere if you rely on regular prescriptions. The administrative side is chaotic and unsupportive and it’s just not worth the energy.
My visit today with Dr Dowling was a pleasant one. As a patient with vitiligo, Ive worked with several dermatologists over the course of my life and Dr Dowling was hands down one of the best. She makes such A stressful disease easy to manage. The MA and front desk associate were also very helpful
Great experience the doctor listened to me and help me with the problem I went early and they attended me way before my appointment time no way for to long everything was so fast that I don’t even ha
Doctors Gruson and Hsiung are excellent practitioners! I highly recommend them. The support staff are personable and professional.
I went for an annual checkup and laser treatment and was treated wonderfully both times! The front desk staff and the doctors were both very professional and friendly. Will recommend!

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
