Dr. Lee is the kindest, most humble, and amazing surgeon. I’ve had the pleasure of being under his care for 2 years.The office staff is friendly, always responsive, and helpful.

Easy experience and caring doctor .

Hi, October 2018 fell in the park and hurt my hand I live around the corner from Doctor Lee's office and I went there to see him he got me into therapy and I liked him enormously.Fast forward to about a month ago 2021 I was having trouble with my thumb so I went in and I saw dr. Lee this experience was not as terrific as the one in 2018 I found him to be very brisk, rushed maybe he was having a bad day who knows but he totally turned me off.I am now on Medicare and I have asked the secretary to send me a printout of the bill and what the insurance paid they keep telling me to go to a portal I do not know how to do that and I will not do that so the saga continues. I did not return for a second visit regarding my thumb it seems to be healing on its own.I will not return ever to see doctor Lee again even though I know he is a terrific doctor but his personality at the moment needs work.

As always, Dr. Lee's knowledge and concern diagnosed something new and painful and red and blue and warm on my leg. He prescibed course of medicine as well as physical part - keeping up leg and applying heat.Healing continues and anxiety at strangeness (to me) of injury decreases. Very grateful always for his knowledge and concern.

If you can make it past the reception area unscathed, perhaps Dr. Lee is a truly decent doctor, however, by the time I actually saw him I'd been so traumatized, who's to say.Going in to an Orthopedic office as a 30-something is a bit odd, I'm not the usual demographic certainly, I am none-the less a person in pain and greatly in need of help and compassion. Coming out of a trauma-filled year this was my first attempt to start "fixing" some of the bodily ailments I'd let my body fall prey to during lockdown and the absolutely lack of compassion or courtesy shown by the reception staff at Dr Lee's office was an absolute slap in the face.Besides being confrontational and rude from the moment I walked in, it's absolute lunacy that a HAND doctor would require new patients to sit with large amounts of paperwork to fill out on their laps. All previous clinics and doctors I've seen since from the optometrist to the OBGYN have digitized all forms to not only streamline and minimize waiting around (have we learned nothing from the whole social distancing exercise??) as well as keep things comfortable for patients. The user experience from start to finish was absolutely terrible and Dr Lee, while personable, didn't offer anything but a recommendation to another doctor - since I'd already done my research and have been wearing splits religiously.Having worked in the healthcare realm and with healthcare professionals in the past there's no excuse for this kind of service, on the Upper East Side or anywhere else. The past year and 1/2 should have taught all of us a bit more about human decency, effective service, and compassion... you would think.Thank you for getting me back in the "swing of things" Dr Lee's Office - they sure served me a swift dose of NYC realness and humiliation, oh! and that delicious side of searing pain.I've cancelled my followup and thanks to my professional connections in healthcare will be seeking help elsewhere! GOOD RIDDANCE!

Dr. Lee is thorough, professional and clearly very knowledgeable and experienced. I highly recommend this physician.

If I could give a negative review I would do so. I was a patient of Dr. Lee's a few years ago and had a good experience. I went back to him recently for a new injury to my hand and had an offensive, completely inappropriate experience with the front desk staff. The woman was rude, disrespectful, biased and unprofessional. I had to leave the office without being treated because I was so taken aback by it. The other patients in the office were all sitting there horrified and the other staff members tried to tell her to stop and also intervene but she would not let up. She kept saying "people like you" and "supposedly" as if I was lying to her. At one point she said, "if you don't like it you can leave" and when I told her that I wanted to speak to the doctor she told me " he won't care". I have never been so offended and humiliated in a medical setting in my life.

I cant say enough great things about Dr Lee and his team! He is thorough, has great bedside manner and hes a phenomenal surgeon. And you'll always be in great hands with is team of PAs - Lily, Scott and Katie. Thanks guys!

Dr Lee responded promptly with detailed instructions for the urgent care providers and had me on his schedule quickly for emergency hand surgery. His explanation of the procedure was detailed; his follow up prompt and his surgical work was the true meeting of art and science. Because of Dr Lee’s prompt action, surgical excellence and post-op guidance, along with phenomenal care from PAs Scott and Lily, I’m well on my way to full recovery.
