List of Strive Total Wellness's Reviews
I’m a runner and highly recommend Strive for any other runners with injuries. I’ve worked with Dr. Wang over the past few months and he has been great, I appreciate that he really tries to understand what your goals are and comes up with a plan to safely help you get there while also working on strength and recap for the long term.
I do not recommend this place - for one, if you’ve ever been to a true osteopath, you know that this isn’t it - more like a glorified massage. They are pushy with wanting you to schedule multiple times a week to see multiple providers (who has time for this??) and their billing practices are VERY shady. They lie and say they accept your insurance (they don't), then they bill your insurance an obscene amount for out of network services, and tell you to just pay them what insurance reimburses you. THIS IS NOT ALLOWED. Providers can bill out of network benefits ONLY for the fee they charge the patient. They will then harass and intimidate you if you attempt to leave a bad review (which is probably why some bad reviews I read before are now gone). Just save yourself the headache and go elsewhere.
Dr Cat Grimes helped me immensely! I’m 33 weeks pregnant and had unbearable sacral pain for 5 days - did not resolves with stretching, exercises, or lidocaine. After multiple adjustment modalities within a single session, she helped reset my pelvis. I had some discomfort on the opposite side from compensating over the week but it resolved completely within 20mins of walking. Her education on my pelvis throughout the treatment and expectations for afterwards were spot on. Grateful to find a prenatal-certified chiro, and a good one too. Would strongly recommend.
Stive Wellness is a great place for massage and physical therapy, which is what I have experienced and it has provided a great relief. I really enjoyed working with Dr. Lea. However, the more involved treatment or my herinated disk, wasn't helpful here. I should have just gone straight to orthopedics. I would ask to be more transparent about the limitations of care the doctor can provide and advise to go to a specialist. I was working with a doctor that promised a referral but never gave it. When I followed up via email about it they ignored the question and instead asked to come in for another appointment. I felt like I was misled and spent over $400 to find myself in a worse pain. I think it just wasn't the right place for pain management for me. Aside from that experience it's still my go to place for massage and PT. I would highly recommend it.
Been going to Strive since 2022 and recommend it to everyone. Great masseuses, Johnson is an amazing acupuncturist, and Shelly and Serena at the front desk are always so kind and helpful.
Can’t recommend this group enough! Helped me rehab from an injury and that allowed me to achieve a personal record in an athletic competition. Thank you Dr. Tiffany for chiro, Sam for PT, and Antonio for massage for being essential on my road to recovery. Shout out to Shelly and Serena at the front desk who are an absolute delight and make me feels so welcome every time I come to Strive!!
Strive Total Wellness is AMAZING!! From the clean facility to the friendly receptionists and staff. Strive Total Wellness is a one-stop-shop that combines all the physical cares you need. They have chiropractors, acupuncturists, masseuses, trainers, nutrition, and physical therapists all in one place at their Midtown East location right out of the 6 train. I personally have been experiencing some lower back pain for almost a year due to improper postures and prolonged sitting. A family friend (who ran 10+ marathons) recommended Total Strive Wellness and Dr. Tiffany and my experiences so far have nothing but spectacular! I saw Dr. Tiffany Gunawardena and her colleagues, Dr. Michael Natal, Dr. Xing Zhang (Johnson), and have had massages from Christina and Zach for about two months. During my first session, someone from the front desk explained to me how my insurance works. After that, each session was a combo of chiropractic care with either massage, acupuncture and or PT as I progress in my journey. One thing I notice and appreciate the most is that the doctors have their share of/personal experiences with pain before. This makes them great doctors, as they can understand and sympathize with the patients. Coupled with their experiences and expertise, this makes them so exceptional! Dr. Tiffany has helped my back tremendously during the last two months. She has provided tips that made my work from home office ergonomic, improved my sleeping environment, recommended supplements, as well as analyzed what sports (and how much) I should and shouldn't do. Dr. Michael Natal really understands and has had a lot of experiences treating back conditions such as mine. He was able to pinpoint and massaged out my knots and significantly improved my pain, in addition to teaching me the core exercises. After two months, one of the most obnoxious knot that was lingering in my lower right back has dissolved. I woke up this morning feeling like a new person. Words cannot describe how grateful I am for this team's care! To sum: - Go see Dr. Tiffany, Dr. Natal, Dr. Zhang and all the masseuses at this place!! - Trust this team's evaluations - Follow the doctors recommendations, buy their tools and make improvements in your environment - Last but not least, trust the process and do every stretch and exercise they tell you to do Cheers to people feeling better!

please don’t waste your money or time with this place. went to see someone about a stiff back was seen by someone for 15 minutes with no help whatsoever and then charged 250 dollars place is a scam
I am sad to be writing this review as a previously long-term client of this practice. Unfortunately, the billing department used intimidation tactics to harass me for several months to get me to double pay invoices. I received calls, texts and emails threatening to damage my credit if I did not pay invoices that were already settled. Ultimately, I paid the invoices and then spent several days on the phone with insurance and looking at my records reconciling bills to gather the evidence that I was being wrongfully charged. When I flagged this to the company they admitted that they had been falsely charging me and putting pressure on me to pay but did not apologize and have not since responded to my messages. Extremely dissapointed. Double check your bills and don't let their intimidation tactics pressure you into paying for things more than once.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
