I would highly recommend this place

This place was wonderful my surgeon was so diligent and looked to find the root of my issue while working on my knee rather than just fixing the problem. He came and explained everything right after which pictures. The rest of the staff was very attentive and respected my requests and the facility was very clean and efficient didn’t have to spend too much time there but wasn’t rushed either. The only reason I am not giving this 5 stars is my nurse at the beginning who gave me my dressing gown etc. was very unpleasant and judgement of some of my recent medical history. Other than that perfect experience!

UPDATE: When I was discharged on 12/22/2020, nobody showed me how to use crutches. SurgiCenter of Manhattan just sent me home with crutches and walker. 3 weeks letter I am in horrible back pain. I have a pinched nerves on my cervical spine due to incorrect use of crutches. I cannot tell you enough how painful this is. I am crippled. I am seeing a spine surgeon. This all could have been avoided had they taken a time to explain how to use crutches properly. I am so angry.I am here for foot surgery. The waiting room has a TV blasting and it is relentless blasting of Christmas music. Why the blasting of music? Am I in hell? I am about to have a surgery and this is insane.

Top notch facility, starting from the efficient and courteous reception, clean beautiful amenities, competent nurses, anesthesiologists and other surgical staff. Would give it 10 stars if i could, but then there is the post op nursing crew and things go downhill very quickly.My journey:I had 2 procedures done under general anesthesia in this facility. Both times i was arisen from the dead by a gaggle of cackling and extremely loud staff. There were 4-6 of them lounging in the convalescent area having grand old time while my inflamed brain was trying to figure out how i ended up at some aunt’s rowdy get-together. The staff were so loud that i could barely make out what my surgeon was telling me but could recite back what the staff had for lunch.They were so engrossed in their conversations it took me few attempts to get some attention to my pain med request. I am not proud i resorted to crying yelps from utter desperation. Finally the nurse came over and claimed she put something for the pain in my iv - only to discover much later the iv got dislodged from my arm and there was blood and liquid seeping out.When i insisted i was in a lot of pain and pleaded for a pill, same nurse talked about me to her colleagues as if i wasn’t even present, making a point if me being unreasonable. Then there was the fumbling with the brace, the oversharing, the lack of compassion. I could not get out of this nightmare fast enough.Overall score - everything and everyone pre- and during surgery - 10 pointsPost op staff - -1 point

My family and I have had multiple surgeries here - mostly knee related. I had a total knee replacement and my son had his torn ACL mended. Being a sports family, we have also had a few torn meniscus. The care we received was above and beyond. The facility is spotless. It feels like a hotel setting. You will be treated well and it's nothing like a hospital where you are just a number. I highly recommend Surgicare of Manhattan to anyone!!

I had hand surgery last week and can't say enough about how wonderful the staff was. Everyone was so kind, caring and professional. My anesthesiologist Dr Riegler was the best!

I cannot say enough wonderful things about my experience here. This was my first surgery ever including anesthesia and stitches! They put my fears to bed and had the best bedside manner. The whole team and everyone encountered was extremely warm and friendly. Dr. Galano is top notch and would recommend him in a heartbeat. You are in good hands here. Thank you all!

Dr. Nigen is the best, the staff was very polite and I would recommend the Surgi Care of Manhattan to anyone needing or getting a procedure done.

Go to HSS instead.

What a great experience, I am so glad my doctor suggested this place. The front desk and the nurses were fantastic. I loved it when they give you coffee and a muffin after a procedure, especially that they know you have not eaten.
