I should have read Glenn's review on the deceptive billing policies, because the billing department also did shady things to me. I was told my insurance was out of network but I was told I would be charged $55 a session after my deductible was met, as each session is $275 without insurance. my 7th session (weekly sessions) was charged $92. I sent an email asking about it, and had to bump it twice before I got a response, by which time I had already been charged for my 8th session and this time for $155. The billing department's response was that someone in the center went and manually corrected my weekly charge, as their initial understanding of my share of the charge was incorrect. At the same time, they said they have no way of knowing and being alerted of how insurance companies make these decisions. On top of these responses that already don't line up, the billing department said I will have to pay back the difference for the past 7 sessions for which they claim I was undercharged. The office is fine and clean - multiple rooms with brown noise machines outside. Shared bathroom on the floor and a quiet and enclosed-feeling waiting room. This review is no comment on the doctor with whom I worked, who was kind and understanding, but it is difficult to judge just after 8 sessions on whether there were benefits or progress.

Best therapists in NYC. I've been coming here for years in person and online during covid. I moved out of state and came back to this office so I had to work with a different therapist b/c of availabilty. Both are absolutely amazing to work with. You're not just listened to but interacted with. Hard to explain but these are people with gifts. I've had some really eye opening sessions and made changes in my life that needed to happen but I was avoiding. My life and self-love and energy has never been better. I recommend a phone consult with the therapist if you are like how I was and feel nervous getting started. Sadly, I'm having to relocate again but I will be back for visits. Please branch out to west!

I was able to get an appointment quickly. The office was very professional and helpful in figuring out my insurance and I appreciated the good communication. I am very pleased with my first visit.

Very deceptive about insurance. BEWARE. Their website and Zocdoc (facilities submit what insurance they accept to zocdoc), will tell confirm they are in network. Their website will imply in network. See both screenshots. Then on the day of the visit, they will tell you "Oh, what we mean is we take your insurance, but only out of network". They correspond with you in advance, and make zero mention until their intro phone call. I struggle with how a behavioral health facility lacks the ability to communicate (at best), or is deceptive (at worst). I'm huffy because pesonally, I would want a place like this to have a higher standard.

Falsely advertise for taking insurance, person i spoke to didnt have proper accreditation (pretty sure that isnt kosher), spent 2 hours for intake during which probably 200 basic questions were asked that the person then didnt remember the answers to (should have filled them out as a questionnaire before the visit), overall a COMPLETE waste of time and we didnt get to therapy even though this was supposed to be one.
