I found her to be fine for general checkups and colds, however, she made my child feel very bad about being (5-10 pounds) overweight. Dr. Hetzler used to reprimand my child (once when she was 10 for two and a half hours) about her weight. I know the advice was coming from a place of genuine concern, but the execution was excessive and ultimately harmful to my child, who is now 20 and has suffered from anorexia for six years. She cites these conversations with Dr. Hetzler as a contributing source of her eating disorder and body dysmorphia. Other than degrading my child (without ever referring us to an endocrinologist or trying to figure out why she was actually overweight) and making her fear food, she was fine.
