List of Tracy M. Pfeifer's Reviews
Dr. Pfeifer is a smart doctor, who I am sure, is good at what she does. I do not want to discredit her capabilities. However, I could not get past her front desk and billing personnel. Stating that it is all a "hot mess" would be kind. The disorganization is horrendous and scared us away from moving forward to have Dr. Pfeifer cut! Best decision I made since I had the chance to speak to a few other doctors, get a sense of how other offices do, should run and the professionalism. I STRONGLY recommend you do your due diligence when looking for a doctor and look at the ENTIRE office as it a major part of the process throughout your surgery.
Kind, caring, knowledgeable, experienced; these are all the things you hope to find in the person that could be potentially operating on your body, and these are exactly the qualities you will find in Dr. Pfeifer. She came highly recommended to me and after a small procedure with her I could see why my friend insisted I go see her! Dr. Pfeifer is not only very good at what she does (this you can find in other surgeons), but she had the ability to listen and hear my needs as if she were about to operate on one of her own family members. I felt extremely comfortable with her and was very happy with my results. After meeting her I don't think I could ever go to another plastic surgeon again. I advise anyone looking for a consult to book an appointment with Dr. Pfeifer. Trust me, you won't regret it!
After an accident, I developed a scary and painful case of capsular contracture around my implants and had to find a talented breast surgeon. My initial plastic surgeon, who did a flawless job with my implants, had recently retired, so I had to find someone new.I'm a person who really does my research. I had to work quickly, as the "cap con" (as they call it) was developing and worsening very fast. I went through a recent publication of the top breast augmentation surgeons in the country, and lined up virtual consultations with the best of the best in multiple cities. I also read every single review I could find, and looked at the "before and after" photos of patients for each surgeon.Although I live in NYC, I was prepared to travel if I needed to go to California, Florida, Texas or wherever for the surgery. I just wanted the best results possible. After speaking with several surgeons, I discovered that many don't take on reconstruction surgeries. I was directed to Dr. Pfeifer from a couple nationally ranked plastic surgeons in NYC, and I'm grateful for it.Studying all of their work, I learned a lot about different processes and how much time the various surgeons planned to spend on my delicate reconstruction. I learned that many surgeons rent surgical facilities to do their surgeries, and this requires they work fast in order to get multiple surgeries in a day to maximize their time and minimize expenses.Dr. Pfeifer offers a surgical location in the city, but also a beautiful surgical facility location in the Hamptons that she owns, where she can take all time she needs to work meticulously in order to achieve the most beautiful results.More than anything, I wanted to go with who I truly believed to be the most experienced and talented reconstructive surgeon. After all, this is my only body and I hope to live a long, beautiful and healthy life. So, I chose Dr. Pfeifer. It was the best decision. She ended up needing six hours to reconstruct my damaged breasts, carefully cutting out the scar tissue and bacteria, preserving my own healthy breast tissue, and then replacing the implants. She didn't rush, and her whole team was gentle and caring. The follow up and continued care has been exceptional. The staff (Maureen, Arleen and even Dr. P when needed) call regularly to check on me and answer questions. I feel very cared for during an uncertain and stressful time.Dr. Pfeifer even met me on a Saturday since I had to get my body drains out and it was the right timing for my healing. She works so hard and really cares about her patients.I'm still in the healing process right now, but the surgery experience and medical guidance before and after by Dr. Pfeifer and her caring staff has been everything I had hoped for and then some. I haven't seen my incisions yet since they are still taped for healing (mine are located under my bust), but I'm hopeful they will heal well. The two drain points are already healing well and have only been out for a little over a week.My partner and I honestly cried tears of joy and relief upon seeing my surgery results. The "girls" look and feel so amazing! When conditions get bad with your body, you just don't know if you will ever be out of pain, or feel good in your own skin again. Thank you for all you've done, Dr. Pfeifer. Not only are you a top notch surgeon, but you are a caring and talented artist. I'm so grateful.
Dr. Pfeifer and her team are the best of the best! They are extremely attentive and care about their patients. Dr. Pfeifer is an artist and I couldn’t imagine getting my procedure done anywhere else. Maureen and the NYC team are responsive, knowledgeable, and have/continue to support me through my pre-op and post surgery. Great experience, would highly recommend!
Simply put she’s the best! Went to many other “high end” doctors in NYC who were very expensive. What a waste of my time and money. Dr. Pfeifer is an expert with botox and fillers. She was very thorough and explained each procedure, step by step. I can’t say enough about her. She believes in a natural look and doesn’t make you look frozen or plastic as many other doctors can do (trust me, I know). After all these years of trying others I’ve finally found the doctor I was looking for! PS her awesome personality is a bonus plus!
Would highly recommend. Dr. Pfiefer and her staff are extremely kind and welcoming, they make you feel very comfortable and confident for each procedure!
I had a great experience working with Dr Pfeifer, she is very kind, responsive and personable.
Dr Tracy Pfeifer and her staff are indeed very gentle and nice people. They are thorough and professional. I would not recommend for any revision surgery. That type of surgery requires a higher skill set and I am very disappointed and saddened by my own results with Dr. Pfeifer. I've just booked with another doctor to repair the damage she did to me. First, my breasts by the original doctor in England were beautiful-no scars-great shape etc...after 15 years I felt it was time to replace. She never spoke with me about new styles or technologies and in fact strongly recommended textured, tear drop shape 'gummy bear' implants. Research those yourself.I said I had no interest in those so she simply looked up the exact same old ones I had and ordered those. I have since found out that no other doctor would have done that. They would have gone over options. I'm very inquisitive and would have welcomed such an educational discussion but there was none of that. I said what was very important for me was a natural result with no visible scars. She assured me of that. The implants were 220 cc's. I previously had no scars as they had been put in through the armpit. She said she couldn't remove them that way. I have since found that other doctors can. After surgery with Dr. Pfeifer I am left with 5 inches of inframammary scars on my chest and drain hole scars on the side of my breasts. I have since found out that other doctors put the drains through the armpit so the breast has no further scars. The breasts initially looked the same as before as far as size and shape but over the next few months I realized she had cut all the nerves to the nipples and severed all sensation for the rest of my life. There is no going back to a doctor and 'crying over spilled milk' I am the one who is to blame for not doing better research about revision surgery in general, which would have been easy, but I relied on web reviews about how nice and comforting she and her staff were nothing about her medical performance of revisions is out there. I did hold her accountable for the nerves and jagged scars. She said that 'nerves were tricky' and when she looked at the scars she shrugged and brushed them off as if it was all OK. She is a doctor with a very nice and gentle manner as is her staff but is of inferior ability and skill. There are excellent surgeons in Manhattan who do extraordinary breast revisions and I now have to pay one of them to re-do what she botched-replacing old technology implants with softer and better newer ones. I also have to pay for scar revision surgery.
I interviewed many doctors in Manhattan, before stumbling upon Dr. Pfeifer's information. I loved her results on her website, and seeing all the positive reviews on Google, RealSelf, etc, so I went in for my first appointment, and instantly knew she was the right doctor for me.Like many other reviews mentioned, her staff is INCREDIBLE. Vicky, especially, was so informative, patient, and even gave me her personal cell to reach out if I ever had questions or concerns, which means a lot to a hypochondriac like myself. Dr Pfeifer's bedside manner is also impeccable. She has never made me feel rushed or unimportant, and is super sweet and supportive. I probably asked her a thousand questions, and she thoughtfully answered each one. She didn't pressure me into any decision and informed me about each type of implant, and the risks associated. My surgery was 6 months ago, and everything seems to be healing wonderfully. I LOVE THE RESULTS!! Like other reviews mentioned, the only thing concerning for me is the quality of the scar. My scars aren't as "discreet" as I initially thought they would be, but by no means do they look large or scary in any way. I'm also early in my healing process, so I'm waiting another 6 months or so before accurately reviewing the scar healing process.Overall, Dr. Pfeifer and her staff have left me feeling nothing but comfort and happiness with my results. :D
I had surgery with Dr. Pfeifer about 2 1/2 years ago. I was left with terrible scars, went in for revision about a year later and still she left bad scars, not as bad but not at all what we discussed my breasts or scars from the lift would look like...Not even close. Both times I woke up from surgery she was not even in the room. First surgery, when I woke up she had already started her next surgery, second surgery, she wasn't even in the facility anymore, was gone already. I felt terrible that she treated me that way. When I came back for post-ops, she had me wait 1 1/2 only to be seen by the nurse (which I didn't mind), that seemed to be more involved with the entire surgery and selling me on the plastic surgeon. The last time I was there for a post op, I was in the room waiting 2 hours, meanwhile she was giving Botox injections next door to a patient that walked in 20 minutes after me. But the best part, I was able to listen to the entire conversation about politics, nothing related to anything that the patient was in for. I felt so mistreated I just left and said to her patient coordinator that I'm done with her, why do I have to wait two hours, what did I do to deserve that? No one deserves to have breasts that look worse off from before surgery, and no one certainly does not need to be mistreated in the way she has mistreated me and from what I understand other patients too. In hindsight, thinking about the process, I should've had a third and fourth opinion. This is your body that you have to live in take time to choose the right doctor, not one that doesn't take a personal care in her cases. I'm so embarrassed about my scars, I look like a patched up scarecrow. I did not want to write this review for a long time but reading past reviews and having great regret choosing this surgeon, people need to know about her practices, because you live with the results, not her.
