True Dermatology Pllc's Online Review Report Card

I have to be honest — the customer service at True Dermatology is anything but pleasant. The older white woman who answers calls will huff and puff at any minor inconvenience and is hard to speak to. She is constantly talking over you on the phone and always incredibly argumentative, completely unprovoked. When I first started coming here in December of last year, I scheduled an appointment with Dr. Amy Spizuoco herself. Despite multiple follow-ups, I’ve never actually seen her. Instead, I was seen by their NP-C, Ashley Abbatantono, who has since left the practice without any communication or notice to her patients. Between the unprofessional front desk interactions and the lack of continuity in care, I’ll be switching dermatologists immediately. I’d strongly recommend looking elsewhere.

I saw the PA Claudia Slutzky, and she was great. In addition to being attentive and explaining everything about my situation/condition clearly, she was detailed, comforting, and considerate of my experience as a patient. Would recommend!

Absolutely 5-star experience with NP Ashley at True Dermatology! From the moment I walked in, I was greeted by the friendly staff and the modern, welcoming atmosphere of the clinic. Ashley is incredibly welcoming, knowledgeable, professional, and took the time to listen to all of my skin concerns. She explained everything in detail, made sure I understood my options and my plan, she tailored the treatment to my needs. The results I am having now is fantastic as my skin was terrible, and I truly feel confident in her care. I highly recommend Ashley and True Dermatology for anyone seeking top-notch dermatological care! I usually don’t like to write a review but this is worth it. Thanks to Np Ashley and the entire True dermatology team.

Dr. Spizuoco is amazing. I saw her for the first time a few weeks ago and felt completely seen and heard. She is not like other doctor’s offices where clients are rushed in and out. She really cares and takes her time with each patient. In addition, she is very timely. For both of my appointments I didn’t have to wait. I’m very happy to have found such a knowledgeable dermatologist in flatiron!! I’m confident she will heal my skin issues for good. Lastly, I love that when you call the office you get a real human that will answer your questions. It’s very personal here!

Ashley and team are fantastic to work with. They are calm, Attentive, see you on time and get you back to your day quickly without rushing you out. I feel safe and heard by people that know what they’re doing and want me to feel and look at my best.

I’ve had such a great experience with True Dermatology! Dr. Spizuoco, Ashley and the rest of the team have been so kind and knowledgeable throughout my skin journey. They take the time to listen, answer questions, and make sure you feel comfortable with every step. My skin has improved so much, and I really appreciate their care and expertise. Highly recommend!

I’m writing in shock. I scheduled a first-time appointment a few months ago for a bothersome spot on my face. I saw the PA for the entirety of my very brief appointment. After explaining my symptoms in detail, she jumped to the conclusion that it’s a cold sore. This is after showing photos, giving a timeline, etc. Fast forward, I have since went elsewhere for a second opinion. The doctor was “99.9% sure” that I have a carcinoma & today my labs came back positive! I was suspicious of this all along & now I’m sickened by the idea of my appointment experience at True Dermatology. I have cancer on my face(!) & yet, I was brushed off at this practice. I don’t even recall that she examined the spot with any sort of tool/magnification. I find this experience so dangerous & I can only imagine how many others have been here & were passed up, leaving with their skin cancer completely missed! In a personal level, I don’t know how the doctor/PA sleeps at night.

Everyone there is helpful and lovely, but they are one of those offices that put you in a room and leave you waiting for a while. Still recommend though, just something to be aware of when scheduling your day!

Dr. Amy is hands down the best dermatologist in New York! I recently had a procedure with her, and the surgery was 100% successful with no scars left behind. Her expertise, professionalism, and care are unmatched. She explained every step of the process clearly and made me feel completely at ease. I couldn’t be happier with the results! If you’re looking for a skilled and trustworthy dermatologist, I highly recommend Dr. Amy. She’s truly amazing!
