Jessie Chasan-Taber brings a remarkably thoughtful, nuanced and intuitive sense of people and of the therapeutic process to her everyday work with clients. I would recommend her highly to anyone who is looking to explore their inner world more fully and to find creative ways through the problems that have held them back in the past.

It’s not easy to find a good medical practice and feel regarded. I felt a strong sense of professionalism, care, and thoughtfulness from both my provider and the entire team. They consistently made me feel supported and prioritized my overall health and wellness. Just be aware, Appointments do not go over so If you are in the middle of something it will end right on the dot. But you are able to reach your provider by email. My provider was very responsive to my emails and they do also have an office phone. I would still be going there if it weren’t for ongoing insurance issues that became unmanageable. When my insurance started having problems processing "out of network" claims, I found myself constantly chasing down thousands of dollars in reimbursements with the insurance company. It became an incredibly stressful and time-consuming process, and unfortunately, I needed to start exploring providers that were in-network to reduce the burden. Leaving was not what I wanted. I can’t recommend Union Square Practice enough for those looking for high-quality care. If insurance coverage or out of pocket cost aren’t a factor, this is truly one of the best practices in the city!

Absolutely wonderful experience at USP over the past few years. Timely and helpful responses, everything is very buttoned up, and the Psych NP I've seen (Michelle Freedland) has been incredible in both talk therapy and medication management. I cannot recommend her and USP enough - and I have to several friends so far! I switched providers for a few months so that I could use insurance to cover the costs and it was a terrible experience which brought me back to USP. It's a shame they don't take insurance, but I understand not wanting to deal with a bureaucratic and corrupt system. Unfortunately good mental health care is very rare and very expensive.

This practice has one of the most realistic, down to earth, approachable styles I've ever come across. I have ADHD and keeping track of appointments has never exactly been my forte but I get reminders about upcoming appointments in such a timely fashion, their billing is done in a way that I can't possibly forget, the person I see is a DOLL and really takes the time to not only make sure my needs are met but really understand me. Above and beyond in a way that you don't see often. They are willing to work with me, and they accept me and see me for who I am while helping me in all aspects. Couldn't recommend them more.

I highly recommend this practice! I spoke to a few practitioners there before finding the one who fit our needs exactly -- but everyone I spoke to was helpful and extremely caring. It really seems to be a special group.
