List of Wendy Buffett's Reviews
I'm very surprised to see the negative reviews of Dr. Buffet. She's not my PCP but I saw her twice for urgent care as my regular doctor was booked. She listened, was compassionate and helped eased my symptoms without over-prescribing. Based on these visits, I would recommend her to others.
I'm really surprised at the negative reviews Dr. Buffett is getting. I agree that her office is not very efficient (I, too, have received phone calls from the pharmacy telling me I have a prescription ready, only to receive a letter from Dr. Buffett's office a week later telling me why I was prescribed something). That being said, no other physician is as willing to return calls and answer inane questions as Dr. Buffett is. She is one of the best doctors I've ever had. She has been my GP for a few years now and I couldn't be happier. What I love most is that Dr. Buffett actually listens to my concerns and always includes me in her decision-making process. She also spends as much time with me as is needed, and she embraces alternative (homeopathic) medicine. I am still chucking that, in lieu of antibiotics, she prescribed kombucha and yogurt for a skin infection (it worked). Way to think outside of the box, Wendy!
I don't understand the negative reviews. I have been going to Dr. Buffet for almost 2 years. I have a number of health issues and she has addressed every one. There are a few that no other doctor has ever been able to diagnos or treat. She has. You have to take responsibilty for your own health and ask the right questions. If they are not hearing you, ask again. If she doesn't have the answer, particularIy related to cost, do your homework. Call your insurance company or the treating facility and ask. I always leave her office with clarity, whether it be cost or procedure related. I have always received a pleasant response from her staff and they have been helpful everytime I have called. Dr. Buffet returns my calls directly if, I ask to speak with her. Can this possibly be the same Dr. Wendy Buffet? Looks like her to me.
When I visited her, she recommended a vaccine that I hadn't initially considered. I asked her how much it would cost and she said it'd cost almost nothing if I have an insurance. She didn't tell me how much it is when it's not covered by the insurance. I got a shot. When I received an EOB, it turned out that the shot was not covered by the insurance and I was charged $150. WTF!During the same visit, she also ordered a test that I didn't consider. It turned out that that test was 5 times more expensive than the test I requested. Fortunately, the cost of this test was mostly covered, but I don't think she ordered that because she really cared about my health.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
