Dr. Sardar came recommended by one of my colleagues. After an injury and resulting disc herniation, Dr. Sardar fit me into his schedule within a couple days, his staff scheduled an MRI same day and after progressively worsening leg symptoms, he got me into the OR within 3-4 days. He is a thoughtful, knowledgeable and practical surgeon who will provide all the outcomes data, risks and benefits and honestly sets expectations. Since the procedure, my symptoms have significantly improved. Only 4 weeks out- the recovery continues but Dr Sardar remains optimistic and supportive. Also need to mention Joy- Dr . Sardar’s nurse. She is truly one of the most thoughtful and attentive medical professionals I interacted with. She responded promptly to emails, communicated promptly with Dr. Sardar and answered questions thoroughly. She was always available and was a huge part in scheduling my surgery and making everything happen.

What I most appreciated about Dr. Sardar was his comforting spirit. Upon initial meeting, he was easy to talk with, explained fully the surgery, benefits and all and his spirit let me FEEL that all was going to be well. Many doctors always talk DOCTOR but he talked in terms that I understood. Since the surgery and my 2 follow up appts, he answered all of my post op questions and the way I feel, he was the best choice, especially given that this was my third operation. Thanks Dr. Sardar, you're THE BEST

The spine surgeon i had been with was definitely out of his/her league when several new issues arose. All i can say is that Dr. Sardar was a true God send!!!!! Along with his attentive staff, especially, Joy Heller. Whenever i had or still have any issues her response and concern are amazing!!! Dr. Sardar has corrected T10 to S 1 along with scoliosis.10/22 Most recently he was able to correct cervical issues with both anterior and posterior operations. C3 to C6.4/22 & 6/22. Dr. Sardar really took the time to listen and truly understand my issues ,in regards to my spine. He explains in layman's terms what is actually going on and backs it up by showing you on the films. So you as the patient are getting a visual of the problems, which i liked. Dr. Sardar not only answered all of of my questions but also explained what the next steps would be in a very concerning manner. All i can say is Dr. Sardar i am beyond grateful for having a Dr. like you. Also a wonderful staff.

Dr. Sardar performed extensive spine revision surgery in January. My original surgery was in 1976 with the Harrington rod. I was diagnosed with flatback, spinal stenosis, sciatica and had lived with so much pain for the past several years. I am now pain free and healing wonderfully. I highly recommend Dr. Sardar and his wonderful staff!!

Dr. Sardar performed corrective surgery on my spine. Before and after surgery he was very informative on what to expect. He took the time to answer all of my questions and address my concerns. He and his staff are very professional and at the same time makes you feel comfortable. His staff is amazing especially his assistant Joy. I definitely recommend Dr. Sardar. I was blessed to of found him. He is an exceptional surgeon.

I have had two spine surgeries performed by Dr Sardar. One was a cervical fusion and the other was a T2-S1 revision and fusion. Dr Sardar has a very calm manner and takes the time to explain things and answer questions. I felt comfortable entrusting him with such major, delicate procedures.

My spine illnesses range from scoliosis, stenosis, disc degenerate disease to sciatica. I had prior scoliosis surgery 34 years ago. Have been suffering from frequent back pains and sciatica for a few years that have gotten worse over time. My quality of life was diminishing. My social life came to a standstill. Couldn’t even walk more than 20 minutes without dragging my leg due to the pain. Physical therapy and injections didn’t work. I recently had extensive spinal instrumentation and fusion extending from T2 to S1. Dr. Sadar and his team at The New York Presbyterian/Allen Hospital-ColumbiaDoctors are PHENOMENAL!! I was mind blown by the care I received. I am still recuperating and yes it will take some time BUT I now walk 1-2 hours per day. No more pain. YES!! I can’t stop recommending him and his team. THANK YOU DR. SADAR, TEAM & HOSPITAL!! I’m so Blessed to have met you all. Can’t wait to enjoy life AGAIN!! For his future patients, YOU ARE IN EXCELLENT HANDS!
