List of Zen Dentistry Kids - Union Square's Reviews
The kind front desk staff was incredibly patient working through some insurance issues. They happily rescheduled to give me more time to figure out the issue until it was finally resolved. Fantastic service and kindness goes a long way! Happily have recommended to friends in the area. Will be back.
Waited 40 minutes to be seen and eventually just had to call it. Not sure what the total wait time was going to be, but given the the plethora of dentists in the city, I'm sure you can find one that doesn't have 40+ minute wait times.
The front office team at Zen Union Square is truly the best of the best. I get very stressed navigating insurance, and the team held my hand from start to finish, always being warm and kind. Without Zen, I would have put off going to the dentist for longer so it's thanks to the front desk team that I now have clean teeth and feel more confident.
I went in for a routine cleaning, and after it was finished, the dentist came to check my teeth, as they usually do. During the exam, the dentist pressed down hard on my teeth with so much force that she actually chipped one of my fillings. She then told me, "The filling chipped, that's going to have to be fixed." But it never would have chipped if she hadn't pressed down on it so hard in the first place. After that, I was given a breakdown of the cost and told how much I would need to pay essentially for the dentist to repair damage that hadn't been there when I walked in. I ended up having to pay them to fix what wasn't broken before my appointment. They did mention they'd refund me some money after my complaint, but so far, I haven't received any refund.
Dentist in office on 12/23 applied a "buckle/filling" and was not clear when I asked for the definition and treatment. I received a "buckle" that she also referred to as a filling. My son received 2 "fillings" that the secretary referred to as "filling/bonding/buckle". Each item has a different code for billing. The "buckle/filling" I received popped off the same night when I was flossing (as usual). I emailed and included a photo of the shoddy workmanship. On 12/26, the secretary called to schedule another appointment and when I asked her to state the difference between the three, she cut me off mid-sentence, stated she was trying to answer me, and to let her speak. I stated that she had cut me off as I was asking my question. She repeated the same with a change in tone. I informed her that I had not completed my sentence and she stated that "all you're doing is complaining." I stated that I was asking for the difference between the three treatments and she had taken an attitude against me. She hung up on me.
I visited Dr. Raja and she was very thorough with my annual cleaning and they offered me a free whitening. The office quite well equipped and the staff is friendly. Will definitely be coming back
They explicitly told me they took my insurance and they lied. Now I owe 1000+ dollars for a teeth cleaning and two cavity fillings, which is absolutely ridiculous. Additionally, they've been incredibly rude to my insurance provider when representatives have called trying to help me sort this out. I wouldn't recommend Zen dentistry to my worst enemy. This place does not have your back as a patient and I would be extremely cautious coming here if you are at all nervous about being able to afford any surprise bills.
I came for a cleaning and everybody was very professional and nice. I had a very good cleaning experience and they also did a couple of X-rays. The dentist was very informative about the treatment I am going to need in the future.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
