How your appointment goes depends on his mood, and if it isn't good, you're going to get his "ugly" side. If he's in a good mood, you will see him as caring and kind. I've seen both sides. My first appointment with him, he knew I was driving up from Philadelphia since his office is close to my family's home. He told me he would work with me should I never need him since I'm driving from so far away. He was kind, caring, and I left the "meet and greet" appointment knowing I would see him again. For my second appointment, I verified my appointment day and time before leaving Philadelphia. I showed up apparently a half hour late. I honestly don't know if I wrote it down wrong or if the nurse told me the wrong time, but it didn't matter. End result was I missed the appointment. After some debate, they said I could wait the day out to see if the rest of his appointments came. I waited three hours and all of his patients showed up. I asked his staff if there was any possibility he could just answer an important question for me that would take two minutes even if it were in the waiting room. (I have Myotonic Dystrophy and Neurologists with this knowledge are hard to come by.) He came out and harshly berated me for about 10-15 minutes. Through tears, I tried to explain but he spoke over me and left the waiting room as quick as he came. I didn't deserve this behavior. No one does. Especially after I was nothing but nice to him and his staff. If you are going to see him, check on his mood first. If he's in a bad mood, please don't see him. In fact, don't see him at all because no doctor with this kind of behavior is worth it. If you don't believe me, check his other reviews. They are spot on. This person should not be a doctor until he adopts a better behavior and that's IF he can get past his ego to see his problem.

Absolutely horrible! I was angry and in tears after my appointment with him, because of how he made me feel. He belittled me and made it clear that he was undermining my concerns, by the things he was saying, his demeanor, and tone of voice. I have had many health problems for the last few years and was finally feeling hopeful that he would be able to do some testing and figure it out, after 3 doctors said I needed to see a neurologist. He basically laughed and pointed out how many health issues I have had to deal with over the past. No kidding, that is why I am here! He was rude, condescending, and with a smirk told me, "I have had many patients like you- I am guessing you will probably would look normal in person" (well so do diabetes and cancer patients.) Looking "normal" does not mean healthy! He also said that I have too MANY symptoms so he had no idea where to start. I asked what his plan was for testing to help me. He said he had "no plan to test me for anything," and that he would call back to schedule me for an in person appointment, "but I don't think I will figure it out." He did not call back. He just wrote on my chart that I had "many complaints." This is completely unacceptable! I waited months for a first virtual appointment, and wouldn't be able to see him again for another 2 months. Zero help!!! I have frequent numbness, muscle weakness, nerve pain, falling, muscle spasms, and more- and he offered no testing or help! Brushed it off like it was nothing or in my head when saying he "has had many patients like me" (while smirking!) I felt he was laughing at me and treated me like a clueless child. Please don't waste your time... look at all of the reviews on other pages saying the same thing. A doctor should be compassionate and take all patients' concerns seriously, without comparing them to a past patient. They also should make sure they do testing to rule out things, and not just end an appointment with zero plan on moving forward.

Undermined my symptoms and made me feel like a child asking for candy. All I wanted was help finding a diagnosis for my debilitating symptoms. He came across as condescending, rude, and arrogant. I felt completely belittled after our appointment. After waiting months for this appointment, he has no planned testing for me. Many other doctors TOLD ME to see a neurologist. I need answers and someone to help me!! Now I have ato find another one who will actually test me to figure out what is going on. Unbelievable.

Dr Lesser’s office staff is pleasant. His neuro tech is kind... makes one feel at ease during procedures. Dr. Lesser explains emg findings with clear terminology to his patient.

I have been seeing Dr Lesser for years and I feel I can trust him. He is very prompt and can be somewhat hurried at times. I never felt that he had talked down to me or was condescending in any way any time that I have ever seen him. He has not steered me wrong.

I just met dr. Lesser today. I thought he was a wonderful doctor and a very friendly person. I would recommend him to anybody.
