List of Jonathan Castro's Reviews
I have seen Dr. Castro for the past 2.5 years. After having a horrible experience with a Crystal Run endocrinologist, he was a nice change of pace. He takes the time to listen, answers questions appropriately without making me feel less than, unlike many other doctors. He was the 1st endocrinologist in several years to get my thyroid disease in a stable place. Amazing doctor and I highly recommend him!
My first visit with Dr. Castro went well. He took the time to explain what type of testing he wanted me to do and why he needed me to do it. He is a very nice doctor and I am glad I was referred to him. I will definitely recommend him.
Terrible staff they dont care about your health!! good Doctor and nurse practitioner!!!
Dr Jonathan Castro runs an efficient office. Ive never had to wait. He will spend as much time as the patient wants. He has come up with novel ideas how to help conditions. Would recommend him.
Dr. Castro encouraged me to use metformin's nausea and diarrhea side effects as a way to lose weight, much like bulimia purging. He did not listen to my medical history despite having seen an another endocrinologist for over decade. He told me to eat less than 1000 calories a day and use medications to purge. He ignored my concerns about my menstruation in a way that was borderline transphobic. He did not let me talk or listen to me in any meaningful way and acted as if I did not know anything about my body or endocrinology despite having followed up every few months for over a decade with my previous endocrinologist. He was rude, fatphobic, sexist, and a bad doctor.
Wonderful caring Doctor and Staff I have been with Doctor Castro over 7 years he is amazing and so is his staff.
Dr Castro, is more than a doctor, he's become a trusted friend. Someone I trust with my life. Not to many people can say that in this day and age. If you're looking for this type of relationship, a provider who's straight shooter and practices what he preaches, Dr Castro's your man!!

Very good visit - I heard from others what a lovely man he was and now I experienced it. Recommend him highly
I was told that Dr. Castro was intelligent, cooperative to work with, and explained issues. I was stunned to be treated so negatively, to not be heard when I asked questions, and to be told I had a disease other than what I came in for. Three other medical sources agree that I don't have the disease he diagnosed, and when I asked for management direction, I was given no direction beyond changing my life style, when the conversation never included discussion of that life style. I don't know if he was having a bad day, but his presumptions bordered on insulting, and I left the office very upset over what my other doctors say is a misdiagnosis, and being talked down to. I don't feel like I was listened to at all and I am accustomed to working WITH my physician team for my well-being. This was clearly a one-way path, which didn't seem to include any input from me, particularly as I have a complex medical history. I have the sense that my history has scared him . He needed to review my history with me, at this first visit, rather than simply take my blood pressure, with no diagnostic exam beyond that. Very disappointing, as I thought Had found someone who could help me manage my issues. Not so.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
