Dr Patel is knowledgeable, compassionate, thorough & extremely intelligent.

Highly recommended! Excellent, caring physician and staff! Dr. Patel is an excellent doctor. She has always provided me with exceptional health care and has always gone above and beyond to help me. Her staff has always been compassionate and provides exceptional customer service. They always make me feel like I matter as a patient. It’s a relief to have found a doctor who truly cares about her patients. Dr. Patel thoroughly evaluates and explains diagnoses in a manner that is easy to understand. When she discovered a medical issue that was outside of her specialty area, she did not dismiss it. She went above and beyond and took the time to find some specialists she personally knew who could potentially help me and referred me to them. It was evident that she wanted to ensure that I was well taken care of. When the first available appointment with one of the specialists was 3 months out, she helped me to get the appointment moved up to an earlier date so I could be evaluated and treated as soon as possible.

This service is unfortunate. I scheduled appt 20 days in advance. Receptionist Jennifer contacted me 24 hrs before the appointment with requests that most professional offices ask for at the time of the appointment being set. My primary medical office was offended by the crass behavior of Jennifer and Dr.Patel. I selected this out of network doctor from another doctor I love and respect. When I asked how to make payment, they only take cash or check. I usually pay with bank card and needed to get cash. Immediately I was met with Medicaid comments and was told the follow-ups cost money. A fact that I am more than aware of. I truly felt as though they did not want my business no matter how much I was willing to pay. Being an Oncology doctor, I expected better. Better service, better coordination and I definitely am not sure why I was begging them to take my money. I probably could have paid for the immediate appointment and the next two follow-ups just to shut them up… but as I sat basically begging for my appointment…surrounded by a plethora of other patients records … I realized that this may NOT be the smartest choice. As I waited, willing to pay; literal cash in hand— and I am being treated rudely and begging to be seen as I already waited 20days… I should not let them run my medical case. I would urge people NOT to support doctors who don’t support patients. Especially being an oncology aka cancer doctor. Places like this could cost you your life.

Dr. Patel is a brilliant, kind, caring and compassionate Dr. She spends time with her patients and listens to your every word and any concern you might have. You may have to wait awhile to see her, but she is definitely worth the wait. I have been seeing her for many years, and I have no regrets.

DR. UMANGI PATEL is an excellent doctor. Someone who cares about her patients. Sits down an explains everything in detail as to have the patient understand results and procedures to be done. Great and very professional. I recommend her to other people looking for a GI doctor.
