Dr. Awner is a very compassionate provider and when he comes in contact with his patients, he has a very warm welcoming approach. My daughter is a feisty, strong, willed little lady, and has experienced many doctors visits with not the same success. As she gets older things get better, but when she comes in here, she at least improves each time. The staff is very welcoming and engaging in very positive ways. Especially when interacting with my daughter. I highly recommend him for those who need an eye specialist. The wait is quite lengthy, but that should be expected when going to somebody who is going to sit at the bedside and actually be compassionate and caring with his patients.

Dr. Awner has been my doctor for roughly two decades and I do not have the words for how much I appreciate him. When some doctors may say “looks like you’re fine,” he’ll go a step further and check one more thing, all while explaining why he’s doing it. Great guy and great doctor.

just tried to book an appointment for my daughter who is having vision problems with neurological issues and the secretary was rude, uncaring and basically refused to book an appointment for her. Will try somewhere else with better bedside manner.

We went for my young sons first eye exam. The entire staff we interacted with was outstanding and Dr. Awner was excellent with my son and very patient. The length of the exam from the time we got there to the time we left was, I felt, extreme. We were there for just under 3 hours. I appreciate the staff and doctor taking the time to do everything thoroughly and was assured the appointments going forward won't be so long. Hopefully that is the case! My son was definitely getting restless towards the end and thankfully I had brought food for him. Overall, a great experience. But the office should prepare new patients for the length or maybe think of ways to cut down the time without sacrificing the detail given to each patient.

Dr Awner was absolutely wonderful! We brought our 16 month old in. He was great with her, very thorough! He went above and beyond to answer all of our questions and to make our Daughter comfortable. We did not wait, we were brought right back to a room and seen immediately!! Highly recommend, especially if for pediatrics!!

He is kind and throughly explains his findings/results. I drive over an hour to take my son to him. My son is 13 and has been seeing him for his drifting eye and vision care for nearly 10 years.
