This place is an absolute JOKE. Yesterday I brought my son, and we were told an hour-hoir and a half wait. I went back in into the office after 2 hours of waiting, they told me there are several people still ahead of me. After FOIR HOURS, they finally called me in. Then it took my another hour to be seen and get out the door. I went to get his prescription on the way home and it the pharmacy was closed so I tried calling to get it sent elsewhere. THEY DIDNT ANSWER THREE PHONE CALLS. My husband went to pick up the prescription in the morning aAND IT WASNT THERE. I called FOUR MORE TIMES AND NO ANSWER. I've never had an issue with the office in Selden. I will NEVER tell anyone to go her again.
Amazing staff
The worst pediatric urgent care EVER...!! signed my son in at 7:30 didn't receive a text to come inside until 10:30 this is the second time I had an issue and my child couldn't be seen definitely would not recommend
Was recommended to this location from a family member but I was so disappointed. They are not very polite. Wait times are HORRIBLE. You cannot go into the lobby so if you don't drive yourself there be prepared to wait outside in the cold because the lobby is closed even though there's no signage to tell you. When they tell you the lobby is closed they aren't nice about it. Hopefully the actual doctor is better because I'm already not pleased with this location and don't plan on coming back. Only reason I picked them is for an in person visit as PC only does virtual for specific symptoms. Guess I'll go back to virtual.
Worst experience of my life - after reading recent reviews it seems it may not be an isolated incident, my 16 mo had mild symptoms of a cold that escalated quickly to severe croup (within about a day and a half) I’m a first time mom and was visiting my parents from out of town, trying not to panic I called my old pediatrician’s office and they recommended this facility since it would be a while before they could see him (as a new patient) and they thought the ER would be risky re: catching something worse. We showed up right before noon and we’re signed in by 12:07, we included respiratory issues as the reason for the visit and we still had to wait about an hour in the car. The first staff member that came in was a medical assistant named Sonya (with different spelling) she seemed friendly but had a lot of commentary that wasn’t helpful and didn’t inspire confidence, she checked his oxygen level and announced the results like a game show host - his level was hovering around 95 which was the threshold for her to inform the “doctor” I was relieved we would be seeing a more experienced medical professional until in walks the “doctor” a PA named Sandra. She was abrupt and condescending and talked at us not to us, she said my son would be getting oral steroids and humidified cool air through a mask, but when he did not “respond” to the treatment they escalated to epinephrine - something to note steroids typically take hours to take effect and our son’s pediatrician was shocked an urgent care administered epinephrine, it is typically meant to be used in an ER setting (this was never mentioned until after the fact when Sandra casually mentioned that he now needed to be monitored in an ER setting - my husband and I looked at each other thinking we misheard her but no sure enough when she came back into the room and we pressed she finally walked us through what they had done). They were dismissive of our concerns (they were rough with my son, he was clearly getting agitated which made his breathing more strained, I kept trying to adjust his mask which at one point was covering his eye and this was problematic) and seemed to not believe anything we said ie. his weight, when his symptoms started etc. I was a nervous mom with a child who was sick for the first time, I don’t know what they thought they saw but clearly it was “sinister” (before the ambulance arrived a police officer showed up to ask important medical questions such as “does this happen often” and “what’s your name and address”) They had taken his temperature at the beginning of the visit, he had a fever of 102.6, towards the end when we were waiting for the ambulance I asked if anything could be done to help his fever and the PA said “oh well there’s Tylenol here” and pointed to the counter.. ok...can he have it? “Um I guess I can give it to him now” I understand respiratory symptoms are paramount but I don’t understand why it seemed to have completely fallen off her radar. There was something very off about the whole experience, lack of compassion is one thing but the women we dealt with were also punching above their weight playing doctor and that seems a dangerous enterprise.
Usually we have such a great experience, today was a NIGHTMARE. The staff all had incredibly nasty attitudes. We waited over an hour to be seen which is understandable, that is not my issue. My son was already sick for about and week and change. He got better and got sick again. I told the medical assistant he just came off an antibiotic. This is where things took a turn for the worse. She didn't even weigh him. The medical assistant began speaking to me in a condescending manner and saying well if you don't know the exact reason for the medication we cant help you. At the moment I couldn't remember it was a sinus infection but I did tell the physican assistant. She was acting like she was the doctor or something. I don't know what she told the physicians assistant but I could tell something was said. Then in walks the physicians assistant playing doctor. She says "it looks like it's another infection" but "ethically" I won't prescribe anything you should try Flonase. Then she tells me since his issue only started today it needs to play itself out. Keep in mind it DID NOT START TODAY. I said that several times. She talked over me the entire time so I can't even fathom how she heard or understood anything I told her. She pretty much admitted he has to get sicker to get any medication. I am disgusted at the experience we had. I even had to suggest a COVID test she was too busy trying to push us out the door and move onto the next. The physician's assistant then says "Oh yea I guess we can do a rapid Covid test too". I was like you know what nevermind. It's not what you say it's how you say it. We wasted our time coming here. We could've just waited to see the pediatrician because we got nowhere with PMPediatrics. I'm really shocked because usually they're very nice and my son always has a great experience. Today we got the bad apples. They weren't even nice to my son.
After 2 hour waiting last night, finally was able to see the doctor who did not prescribe my daughter with any medication to reduce or help with coughing. There was no real diagnostic provided to me other than "she needs a covid test" for dry cough and no other symptoms. I understand there is a pandemic but she did not care to ask anything further, just "covid test". This is how they resolve their diagnosis. Also, I asked dr. Cohen nicely to include in her release paperwork that patient had no fever, and everything that she had checked (throat, lungs, etc) and instead she gave me a paper saying, "take acetaminophen" (not sure for what if my child had no fever) that the diagnosis was: "cough" and that I did not want to take a covid test. I agree with other parents here that is better to just take your children to their real pediatric doctor as this was just a waste of time and money. This place deserves zero stars, not even one star.
This place is THE WORST! The wait time is insane! Yea let me wait with my kids in the car waiting to be seen 😒 anyways I took my babies in for a cough, diarrhea on 10/15/21, we already all got covid way back so I knew something was diff this time but they said to test for covid. I specifically asked if they could also test for RSV and the nurse or whoever it was said no. Well flash forward to today 10/19 just got back from the hospital and they have RSV with beginning of pneumonia !I will never go here again!
After 2 hour waiting, my child was was seen by dr Cohen who did not prescribe any medication for the coughing and all she could recommend was getting a covid test. There are no other illnesses around other than covid...respiratory infections or flue do not exist anymore. They did nothing else to help my daughter but just send her home with a note "take acetaminophen". I rather go to the regular urgent care that also take children and I would probably get better treatment.
North Babylon NY OFFICE - TERRIBLE TERRIBLE TERRIBLE . Brought my 4yr old son here yesterday evening at 11:30pm . He was coughing to the point where he was throwing up . The front desk receptionist was the most rudest unprofessional person I’ve ever come across in a medical facility. Without even asking what we were there for , she said give her a second she’ll be right back . She went to go talk to someone on the side and came back and said UNFORTUNATELY we’re unable to see your son, there’s a 1 1/2 hr wait and we close in 30 min . There were barely any cars in the parking lot but she said that all the rooms were full with patients and the doctor (Alina Bhatt ) is not accepting any more. She just kept repeating the…. Unfortunately there’s nothing we can do , we can’t see your son . My husband asked for her name and she told us she didn’t have to disclose that information to us. So we asked if she was serious. And she said yes , I don’t have to disclose my name. Then we asked for someone in charge , and someone else came out and said the same thing … UNFORTUNATELY… and suggested we go to another location .. we mentioned that it was already almost time for them to close as well and we may not make it there , she said , well it’s only 15 mins away. The only thing they did for us was call them to let them know we were on the way ( only because we asked them to). After denying my son care and now Limited on time at this point we were able to make it to the Commack location and they were extremely sweet and professional. Made my son feel comfortable and cared for. We will never go back to the North Babylon Location .
