List of Timothy Canty's Reviews
My mom had surgery on her back recently and she’s in love with Dr. Canty and his staff they all were amazing especially Layla with booking the surgery! She got right on it with booking the surgery @ hospital 🏥 because she knew my mom was in severe pain and I appreciate that dearly! Now my mom is better and because of Dr. Canty and the nurses at Mount Sinai Beth Israel and Layla the surgical coordinator all ate the best! Thank you again ☺️😍
Awesome service, extremely knowledgeable, fast, caring. Highly recommended!!!
Dr. Tim Canty and staff are brilliant cutting edge in pain relief. They offer new technology and options to help manage chronic pain. Staff is always Pleasant and accommodating. Dr. Tim Canty and the other doctors there are Knowledgeable and offer pain relief, that no other doctors offer.
First of all All they want to do is give you injections and the tele medicine never call then the next day lie and said they called twice but no answer so they went to the next patient . I called for pain medicine. You have to speak to the tele medicine and that’s postponed. My pain is worst since I been there it’s like there experiencing on me and don’t know the cause Prp and injections.
HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!I was truly blessed to have been pointed in the right direction of meeting and having Dr. Canty treat me for several procedures, he was very professional engaging with all my concerns and questions and didn't rush like alot of Doctors now adays. Making my whole experience Everytime feeling safe and in the right hands. Thank you Dr. Canty for all my 9 procedures to go smoothly. Also his staff is amazing and very caring makes everything thing go fast with the routine method they have set up so your in and out.
Absolutely horrible practice. You will see a different PA or doctor every time and each one will try to alter your care to their preferences. Medications take hours to be called in, if they’re called in at all. I had at least 4 separate occasions where they were never called in and I was left without meds for the weekend. They do not return phone calls and phone telemedicine appointments will be hours late. My 11 am telemedicine appointment didn’t happen until 430 pm, because they were “busy”. They will force surgical procedures on you and threaten to withhold your pain medicine until you have it done with no warning. All they seem to care about is finding ways to bill insurance companies for more money. I have made 5 calls over the last week asking for a return phone call and still no one has bothered to call me back. I would never return to this practice or to any of the locations they have offices.
BEWARE.... I regret ever stepping foot inside Comprehensive Spine & Pain Center of New York with Dr. Tim Canty. I was told I would be seen and treated by a medical doctor. Never once was I seen by a medical doctor even though I requested twice to have a physician do any procedure on my knee. Instead, I got a very basic P.A. named Chrystyna who didn't really seem like she knew what she was doing. Chrystyna was not medically technical at all. It's almost as if this was her first time performing the procedure called the "one shot" PRP Treatment. By the way, if you're looking for a treatment to heal your knee, one shot PRP injection to the knee will most likely never work. You need to go to a doctor that does multiple shots into the ligaments. The $1,200 I spent with Dr. Canty was a total waste. My knee is still in pain and feels even worse now than it did before I went to Comprehensive Spine & Pain Center of New York. In addition, the people who answer the phones are very rude and unprofessional. Dr. Canty and the Comprehensive Spine & Pain Center of New York have earned a grade F.
Promp and thorough

Dr. Fontenot, a doctor who works with Dr. Canty, was very helpful and insightful when it came to my pain. He was able to assess the sight of my pain that radiated down legs and differentiating it from my L4/5 herniations to my sacroiliac joint (tailbone). Thank you Dr. Fontenot, Dr. Canty and their team for amazing help!

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
