List of William C Boozan's Reviews
I seen Dr. Boozan and I find it out he is not special just he is seeing patient a number not a real doctor can see a patient a number. He is not comprehensive looking your eyes and before looking your past conditions he suggested cataract surgery to me however my cataract is just very very small and I a not supposed to be a candidate for cataract before I try all other options as well. He is out of touch or just want to make a surgery to make a money just unbelievable. I didn’t feel he was caring for his patient and I don’t recommend him to anyone just waste of time and possible you can get wrong diagnosis.
Professional in all aspects. I saw Dr. William Boozan at OCLI in Mineola NY. He is very knowledgable and have an excellent "bedside" manner. Their facilities are very clean. They have a large waiting room. They took me at the time I was a scheduled. HIGHLY covid-compliant practices. They get better each year I go to them. They have a latest diagnostic equipment and the doctors are responsive to the patient's requests and explain the conditions very clearly. I highly recommend Dr. Boozan.
I made an appointment with Dr. Boozan via ZocDoc over one month in advance. I put in a request with my work to take time off for the appointment. About a week before the appointment, Dr. Boozan's office called me and told me he was not going to be in for my appointment time and asked me to reschedule. The person on the phone suggested a time on October 11.. I went to my supervisor and explained that I would need to change the time and date of my leave from work. 6 days before my new appointment Dr. Boozan's office called again and said the doctor would not be in because the 11th is a Jewish holiday. I asked why they rescheduled my appointment for the 11th if they knew the doctor would not be in. The person on the phone said she didn't know and asked if I wanted to make a new appointment. At this point I'm having to go to my supervisor a third time to change my medical leave! I told Dr. Boozan's office to forget it because I do not have the time or energy to continue changing my appointment.
I have been to Dr. Boozan's ofice for over three years . My wife & son are also patients. The office is run efficiently and Dr. Boozan is always personable and well as professional. He is an asset to our Astoria community.
I'm in the always-unenviable position of needing to find a new doctor -- in this case, an ophthalmologist for a cataract. (I made the mistake of using flonase and nasonex.) I found this guy on Yelp looking for someone near my home who took my insurance. He seemed to have a few plausible positive reviews so I called. I was told he was on vacation, but had an open slot on his first day back, about two weeks later, so I booked it.On the day of, no one had called me to confirm the appointment, so I called them. I was told that he was "overbooked" because he had been on vacation (what the hell does this even mean? How hard is it to manage the guy's calendar while he is away if that's basically your entire job?). He couldn't see me and I was asked to reschedule for one week from the original date. Um, no. First of all, why should I believe you will keep that appointment since you couldn't keep this one? Second, I work more than fulltime and it is exhausting to have to reschedule my own stressful and meeting-packed days to fit in a doctor's appointment. (I already did this one time; now you want me to do it again because of your screw-up.) Third, your suggested reschedule takes me three weeks from my original phone call. Fourth, if you can't manage a calendar, what the hell makes you think I am going to trust you to cut into my eye???"You know how to MAKE the reservation. But you don't know how to HOLD the reservation."Canvassed my personal network and found someone highly recommended by a friend, albeit far less conveniently located for my life.
I had a wonderful visit. Very informative and thorough exam. The staff is very friendly. Love it here. So happy my primary recommended him to me.
The best...cataract surgery went great...I can see clearly now...
Thrilled with my LASIK experience with Dr. Boozan. He explained everything, made sure my questions were answered during the consultation, procedure and check up.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
