List of Bindu N Mathew's Reviews
At my last appointment, I had to wait an hour in the room. When Dr. Mathew finally came in, she was unapologetic and rude about the long wait. She is extremely thorough with her patients but I believe that causes a her to get backed up. I found her argumentative when I addressed the issue. I will be finding a new doctor.
The first time I was at her office Dr. Bindu Mathew was pleasant & professional. I was sure I had found the kind of Doctor I had been searching for. An MD who cares, & treated patients with respect. But, surprise surprise, the next time I was in her office she was abrupt, unprofessional, complaining about the time she was going to spend “because” I had a pre- Surgery Form she had to fill out for me. And moreover, I overheard she made loud unprofessional comments with her staff. I just feel that she was so inappropriate , unprofessional. Even her assistant told me, more than twice, that because of my pre-surgery form the Dr. was going to spend doble of the time she usually does, time that my Insurance probably won’t pay for. I felt the Dr. should just explained the situation to me, in a professional way. I felt so embarrassed, so I apologized many times just to calm them down. I would never go back to her place.
Dr. Mathew is a cut above the rest offering true concierge attention to her patients. Annual check ups are important and Dr. Bindu Mathew annual health check up in Ossining NY was really critical for me. I loved how she spent time covering my areas of interest and concern. She offered knowledge, her expertise and a patient and caring interest in my health and wellness. I highly recommend her. I feel like I finally have a person who cares about my health not just a "doctor."
Very thorough, patient & pleasant. Not in a rush.
Dr. Mathew always takes the time to review any test results and to answer any questions.
I felt she truly listened and respected what I had to say.
Both my mother and I started seeing Dr. Mathew this year. All 5 visits we had to wait 30mins to an hour. She has odd hours at different offices and is always overbooked. Follow up calls are pretty much non existent and you have to hound the office to find out information. After one of my mother's visits she was told by one nurse that her iron levels were back to normal and then a different nurse called a week later and told her the opposite (both looking at the same lab results and getting notes from Dr. Mathew??). My sister is a dietician and looked over her blood work results and saw my mothers iron levels were actually normal. A month later my mother went in again because she was experiencing tingling in her hands. Dr. Mathew ordered more blood work and told her to get a hand brace and see a neurologist. My mother gets a call later that week and is told she has diabetes-- no explanation or talk about how this happened or how to handle it. Luckily, my sister was skeptical and decided to go in and look over the most recent blood work. Her levels actually categorized her as pre-diabetic. My mother goes to neurologist and after blood work finds out she has lymes disease, which Dr. Mathew did not think to look into. We will obviously be looking for a new PCP.
Found very capable, efficient and most pleasant to deal with.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
