List of Carmen Bautista Dator's Reviews
I was grateful to find a doctor who recognized my depression and prescribed a helpful anti-depressant. Other reports are correct about long waits when the office did not appear to be busy. She was empathetic and attentive during our sessions. However, she does not respond to requests for prescription refills made from the local pharmacist. Nor does she respond to messages left on her answering machine during scheduled business hours. It has twice taken me over a week to get a prescription refill from her and I have run out of my medication each time as a result. I do not think this acceptable, especially for patients on mental health medications.
I brought a family member to be seen today. Dr Carmen told the patient that if they did not agree on stop smoking that she wouldn't accept him as a patient. Ok well considering that the patient is in a wheelchair with health issues they could have told us that on phone. They don't accept smokers! Thanks for wasting my time
I’ve been going here for about 1.5 years, and while I’ve had some difficulty getting ahold of the office at times via phone, my in-person visits have been love. Dr.Dator takes time to explain things and is very knowledgeable. The nurses on staff are also very kind and knowledgeable.
The worst Doctor I have ever seen. Very judgmental. Has this whole list of reasons why she won’t take you as a patient.
Dr. Dator has always treated me like a human being. On my first visit, instead of prescribing antidepressants or anti-anxiety medication when I discussed being fatigued and down, she asked me questions about my life and suggested blood work first to see if I had any vitamin deficiencies. It was a huge relief, and she has helped me help myself for several years since. She is not interested in treating people who are not helping themselves, i. e., she does not see people who smoke cigarettes because there's not much she can do if the patient is destroying their health with poor choices. I like her professional standards. She is a no BS kind of doctor. The reason for four stars instead of five is that her front desk staff, though kind, messes up paperwork and doesn't return phone calls sometimes. I'm not the Queen of England though and I realize mistakes can happen. They fix any mistakes when I bring them to their attention. Dr. Dator is open to alternative/holistic treatments and is supportive of positive changes on the patient end--she is always happy to fill out the necessary paperwork I need for my HSA account to pay for yoga, orthopedic massage, gym memberships, etc. for pain and stress management. No coddling in this office, but definitely treated with respect.
I recently moved to NY from MS, had an Appt with Nikki Nelson the CHP, she is very rude, I have been on medication for several years due to a lot of health issues. She refused to write me prescriptions for my medications that again I have been on for yrs. I am in severe pain because of this, she acted like a was a druggie even though none of me medicines are controlled substances. I am a diabetic for which I am not on any medications, supposed to be on Insulin and oral meds, I have CHF, High blood pressure, Sleep Apnea, Bi- polar depression, that's not all! She will not write me prescriptions for the medicine I need. She is uncaring and completely unprofessional. I am changing to a doctor that cares about their patients!
How does this woman still have a business practice here?I Make an appointment and make arrangements at my job only to be canceled the day before,So I rescheduled rearranged things at my job again only to go there and be profiled because I have tattoos and smoke. If you don’t except patients who smoke why don’t you say so on the phone why wait until I get there?so you could profile me that’s why.Must be nice to turn down money in such a little town.Definitely gonna let everyone know on all my social media accounts how unprofessional this woman is.
No good for nothing sums it up..
Worst doctor ever went there with a problem and got denied because I smoke cigarettes way to do your job and help someone. You should be denied your license
I have been very pleased with Dr. Carmen Dator. She is knowledgeable and personable. She has always treated me with respect and helped me effectively with any health issues I had. I have recommended her to my friends on many occasions. She gives excellent advice, and I have benefitted from her wisdom.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
