List of David Barber Md's Reviews
Wouldn't go anywhere else . so caring .
Dr. Barber is an excellent primary care physician. I have been his patient for over twenty years. He listens to you and gives you the time you need. Dr. Barber answers you're questions thoroughly and will refer you to the proper specialists reviewing your progress at the specialist with you. His appointments are maintained with very little patient waiting. He has helped me through a number of serious health issues including kidney cancer that required surgery at Cleveland Clinic. His follow through on all of my health problems has been impressive. He manages all of my prescriptions from my specialists a great idea! I highly recommend Dr. Barber as a primary care physician.
Dr. Barber listens to your problems and tries to help the best that he can,if it's getting you a specialist or treatment. He is patient, kind and understanding. I have been with him well over 15years.
Never have to wait in the room for hours on end. Always very concerned and listens. Feel comfortable discussing any issues. Great mental health support and consideration. All my family has gone to Dr. Barber and he is caring and understanding. Never brushes aside concerns.
Dr. Barber recommends medications to me for my symptoms without first finding cause and has made my conditions worse. I prefer to use the Queens after hours clinic than to see Dr. Barber because he increases my stress and anxiety by not taking my concerns seriously. I won't mention the resident doctors' as all the responsibility falls on Dr. Barber for how they communicate with me. The office staff and nurses do a very good job and I rarely have to wait for my appointment. Overall I'm very concerned and am taking steps to try to advocate for myself with respect to my medical care.
An MD that takes time for each patient. Is truly concerned and explains as much as possible.
I find this practice is deteriorating. RPNs not knowledgeable, process patients like an office staff would, no assessment, not connecting information with assessment, no health teaching at all from the nurse. Miss having knowledgeable RNs who did assessments, listened to the patients and made a difference. Dr Barber is distracted, no longer engaged and hard to get into to see, never there. Feels like a walk in clinic not a family practice.
Absolutely wonderful, listens and cares for all of my family. I never have to wait long to see him or his interns (teaching) and I know he cares. My daughter and I see him often for various reasons and Dr. Barber never makes you feel unworthy of his time and is not condescending. We are lucky to have him the last 9 years.
I was referred to Dr. Barber by another doctor because of an on going toenail issue. Dr. Barber has always been very knowledgeable and helpful. I was able to contact him at any time over the years if my issue arose again. He is very accomendating and has excellent bedside/chairside manner.
Dr Barber is a great dr. He was my dr until Aug 2013 when my total medical care was abandoned with zero notice and no opportunity to have continuity in my care. Beware Northern Oswego County Health Services Inc. From that point in time i was blacklisted and was abused by dr marget satterlee, unable to recover. The mayor where we are says denial of service. I have been forced to search for care 100's of miles away and still have no medical care. i am suffering STILL

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
