I would not recommend Dr. Baez at all, I had left TKR 18 months ago all he caused me was pain and aggravation, he took it for granted the issue I was having was with my knee, never mentioned the pain could be coming from my hip, went to another doc and he did an MRI of my hip, and sure enough I needed a hip replacement, which I had recently . I would stay far away from Baez there are much better Orthos out there.

Initially very caring not so much after surgery. Plainview hospital horrible. Waited three years for second replacement finally had it at Stonybrook hospital. World of difference! Dr Nicholson!

Another doctor who looks at you at your insurance card and then decides what to do. Run to another doctor if you can !

He looks at your insurance card before deciding if he will help you. Good insurance he'll give you the world. Average to poor insurance, he can be bothered with you. This doctor is about the cash, NOT helping you.

My wife went in on a Wednesday for hip replacement surgery with Dr. Baez. He explained it very clearly at the Intake. The next day she was up walking with the physical therapist. She came home Friday and was able to manage two flights of stairs to get to our bedroom. Dr. Baez did a magnificent job and the agonizing bone-on-bone pain that brought us to him is completely gone! I recommend Dr. Baez to anyone in need of a knee or hip replacement. He is an excellent surgeon and his work is brilliant!

We were very impressed with Dr. Baez when we first met him. He was very passionate as he explained the details of the hip replacement surgery and the approach he used. He has a very large personality and radiates a lot of energy. He was clear in his explanation and answered every question I had thoroughly and patiently. When we left the initial intake interview we felt very relieved and very secure that we got the right doctor. The day of the surgery he was there to ease our concerns in Pre-Op and explained how long the operation would take. About an hour later after the operation he contacted me and told me that everything went perfectly. When I made my "quick" visit in Recovery, he was there and told me she's doing well and there were no problems. If you don't agree with everything he says, he mocks you in the office visit. Made me feel very small and like I didn't know what I was feeling. Clearly did not care about me as a person.

Seeing Dr Baez initially wonderful bedside matter. But after surgery not so much! Any questions or problems he laughter off. Worst experience at hospital. Will be having other hip done at Stony Brook or St Francis. Have not decided yet still researching.
