I haven’t seen Dr. Luntz in awhile, but when I needed him, he was kind, caring and professional. Recommending a friend to him today.

continued: I also mention to Mr. Dunaway that I strongly feel that the stress level is way to much for Dr. Luntz to handle, and by getting a PHYSICIAN ASSISTANT   in that office will help immensely. It was a 3 Doctor operation at one time. Since Dr. Lebowitz retired they need help. Mr. Dunaway agreed with me and will see to it. Mr. Dunaway also stated that Doctors from his observation over the years working, have huge egos. I also informed Mr. Dunaway that we all have to take responsibility and accountability for our actions good and bad and that Dr. Luntz is no exception. Dr. Luntz needs to learn how to sincerely apologize when he is wrong. All I wanted was to have a nice friendly rapport with Dr. Luntz who I really felt would be my Doctor for the long haul. (Note it is hard to find a good Doctor today, if you do it is like hitting lotto). I do not want to go on a road trip to the grand canyon with him., just wanted a good Doctor/Patient relationship. Dr. Luntz failed me in this regard.  Dr. Luntz should never use IF'S and BUT'S when you are making an apology to someone. For example; he states: I ALWAYS STRIVE TO BE THERE FOR MY PATIENTS & BE AS HELPFUL AS POSSIBLE. GOOD COMMUNICATION WITH MY PATIENTS & PROVIDING EXCELLENT CARE IS OF PARAMOUNT IMPORTANCE TO ME & IF THERE WAS A FAILURE ON MY PART I SINCERELY APOLOGIZE. This makes your apology dependent on something else & may even imply you think your apology is only necessary because of that person feelings. The same with BUT, an apology like this is making an excuse before an apology is even made. Focus on owning up forwhat you did or said. Mr. Dunaway thanked me for bringing this dishearten situation of  issues to his attention. I thanked him for his time, as well as all the office staff for there help with this matter. Mr. Dunaway stated to me if I ever needed his help to just call him. A wonderful man at that.  In our society we have physical abuse, sexual abuse, that are reported on a daily bases. I feel very strongly that verbal abuse in this case between a Doctor/Patient should be reported as well. I as a patient do not deserve to be spoken to or treated unkind by Dr. Luntz who I trusted as my Doctor for compassion and empathy, who I gave generously to him, his family and his staff to endure all this stress andaggravation. Dr. Luntz needs to change his imperious ways. I will not tolerate being disrespected by a POMPOUS, EGOTISTICAL, JADED, STUBBORN FOOL OF A MAN WHO LACKS MORAL COMPASS. Here is a few tips for Dr. Luntz to learn by.1) DO NO HARM TO YOUR PATIENTS.2) MEET THE PATIENT WHERE THEY ARE IN LIFE.3)NEVER DISREPECT SOMEONE WHO IS GIVING KINDNESS TO YOU.4) VALUE YOUR PATIENTS/TREAT THEM LIKE YOUR CHILDREN/LOVED ONES, NOT AS AN INSURANCE CARD WITH NUMBERS,WE ARE MORE THAN THAT.5) TAKE A FEW DEEP BREATHES BEFORE MEETNG EACH PATIENT.6) LOOK UP HOW TO APOLOGIZE IN A SINCERE MANNER THE PEOPLE YOU HAVE WRONGED/HURT THEIR FEELINGS.

First I like to say is that I hold Doctors/Care givers in high regard. I am a professional man who has worked in the medical/mental health field for 40 yrs. I have worked in many clinics/hospitals in Manhattan/Long Island. I know that the Nurses/Tech/Office Girls work very hard. I am well aware of the high stress levels these positions hold. I was referred to Dr. Luntz by a mutual Doctor friend ( Dr. Cusa), who we both know. I was so nervous of what to expect, however Dr. Luntz put me at ease, informed me how serious my condition was & that he can help me by performing surgery. (Note: during covid/before vaccine). The surgery went well. I was (OVER THE MOON WITH JOY). I shown my kindness & generosity to Dr. Luntz, his family & staff by giving gifts of appreciation. (Note: I am a very generous person that is how I was raised). Dr. Luntz thanked me for all I have done. That said, it is very disheartening to say, although Dr. Luntz saved my life which I am eternally grateful,  however Dr. Luntz failed me in the aftermath of my recovery. I noticed the high volume of patients that come to the office. I had many medical concerns with regards to my health. I did all my communication through correspondence. I felt it was easier for Dr. Luntz to read all my concerns & discuss them at my appt. I always try scheduled  for his last appt of the day. It was Passover week, so I brought him a gift for the holiday, placed it on the chair. I started to talk about my concerns. Dr. Luntz became very irate, impatient as well as insulting with me, stating very loudly to me (I have been up early doing surgery ). I do not have time. I shut down when he stated this to me, did not talk about any issues from my letters, I gathered my things and headed for the door. Dr. Luntz was behind me, stated do not forget your bag, I informed him that is yours. Dr. Luntz  raised his voice, scolded me like a child, he went ballistic on me, aggressive attitude, stating ( I DO NOT WANT ANY GIFTS). I reached for the door, I could feel his hot breathe on my neck. I finally got out of the room to the nurses station. They asked me for my next appt. I told her I will not be back. I went home to type up a letter addressing Dr. Luntz's appalling behavior toward me. (Note: he was like Jeckle & Hyde). Once Dr. Luntz received my letter, he called me. This is where he verbally & emotionally abused me some more, by yelling, screaming, stammering on his words, stating ie: that I was pathetic, an embarrassment to him, that I make him feel uncomfortable, chastise me for buying lunch for his staff, ridiculed me on my health & for the gifts I gave him/family, used foul language on me, complained about my letters, rant & rave etc. I tried to reason with him, told him to calm down. Then he tells me (LET's RESET) what is this a line from  (MEN IN BLACK) the movie. This is not an apology to me or anyone. Only insult to injury. I was so stressed out after his phone call.  I as a patient should not have to endure such reprehensible behavior from Dr. Luntz. I started the chain of commands, to file a complaint against Dr. Luntz. I spoke with (Maryanne)  who was so very very nice to me, (did not know what to do first for me). She informed me to call (KAREN) in administration who was very very nice to me & concerned as well. She informed me to speak with the COO (Mr. Dunaway). I met with him in his office on 3 occasions to discuss Dr. Luntz's  horrific behavior towards me . I showed all of my correspondence to him, he was taken aback. Mr. Dunaway stressed to me that he will speak with Dr. Luntz  & will reprimand/council on his inappropriate behavior towards me. Mr. Dunaway took my concerns to heart.

I have been going to Dr. Luntz for over 15 years. He is knowledgeable, courteous and sympathetic. He understands my anxiety and helps me to alleviate it. I highly recommend him!!!!!!

Dr Luntz is the best.  I went for my annual follow up visit today and left reassured all was well.  He is a caring kind professional.  I can recommend DR Luntz highly.  Gregory Burke

I'm a long term patient of Dr. Luntz and have found him to be the consummate professional. Caring and a great communicator, Dr. Luntz instills in one great confidence that their health is in the hands of a skilled state of the art specialist. Office and staff are well organized, friendly and very easy to deal with. My highest rating!!!!

I returned to Dr. Luntz office last week. To start, the COVID protocols were perfectly executed. His staff was wonderful which is clearly a reflection of the good doctor himself. Although it was clear that he was incredibly busy, he gave me the time I needed and was a real problem solver. He is truly a special doc.

Dr Luntz is a wonderful urologist. He is friendly, personable, intelligent, patient, compassionate, understanding and has a great sense of humor. He exemplifies all of the characteristics of an excellent doctor!!

I have been using Dr. Luntz for over 10 year now. He is a great doctor, great person, great personality, extremely intelligent. Dr. Luntz goes above and beyond to get to the problem at hand. I would go to any other urologist!
