I was a patient Dr. Dahlen, at Eye Care for the Adirondacks for 18+ years. He is an excellent Dr., but decided to retire. I was referred to Daniel Litwicki to continue my treatment for congenital glaucoma. I am a monocular person (right eye was removed) with poor vision in the remaining eye, a previous detached retina, and a progressive eye disease. At my first (and last) appointment with Daniel Litwicki, he spent less than 5 minutes in the exam room. He seemed confused about what medications I was taking for my glaucoma and his slit lamp exam was less than 30 seconds. I would think any physician would want to take time to talk to a new patient with a complicated medical history, or at least ask if I noticed anything unusual vision changes, or if I had any concerns. Daniel Litwicki needs to learn how to communicate, instead of packing his schedule with as many patients as he can. Do not see this person!

Seriously.. I needed a opinion .. Friday at 6pm.. for a torn retina and he(Dr Litwicki) refused to call me back… I’ve been a patient at EyeCare for Adk for 26 years.. and I get this.. extremely unacceptable.. hope you never have an emergency.. don’t ever count on Dr. Litwicki for your sight apparently.. especially when it’s he’s on call… Unfortunately Dr. Roy was not available either.. but Litwicki.. the on call Dr.. refused to call back..REALLY NICE.. DR. LITWICKI… what was the oath you took!!!!I don’t think Dr. Dahlen would’ve appreciated this.. looks bad for business!!!

He is very abrupt and cold. Has no hospital previledges or affiliated with any. I have severe PTSD issues that were brought to his attention and he ignored it. His staff were told about it and ignored the triggers and wondered why my reaction to things ( I just clam up n cry silently) happened. If the was a negative 10 I'd give it to him

Dr. Litwicki is a darn good eye surgeon. He always has a big smile and treats me like an equal.......he is keeping good tabs on the former detached retinas and is good with doing my pressures from my glaucoma......long long wait in Saranac which is a pain, but lots of patients and if you want quality you wait.....then when you see him, it's worth it!!.......I recommend him to anyone near Lake Placid and the area to make him your eye surgeon!
