I’ve seen Dr Abergel for about a year. He’s been a caring, thoughtful doctor who has taken his time at each visit and truly seems to care about me as a patient and person.

I never leave review like this, but I feel compelled to warn others from wasting their time and money to visit this doctor. If you suffer from IBS/acid reflux DO NOT VISIT. It was highly recommended by primary care doctor to visit a gastroenterologist given my medical history. However, this appointment Dr. Abergel was completely dismissive of my symptoms. Almost like he didn't think they were worth his time?!? He did not ask about my pain levels and provided less medical care and advise then my primary care doctor. PPI are not intended to use long term and when I asked about herbal/alternative treatment options he mocked me for asking. Instead pushed a different pharmaceutical drug. Told me a dietitian wouldn't be covered on my insurance without knowing anything about my medical history and/org insurance. If I was suffering from "anxiety" he would consider giving me an endoscopy. I am vegetarian and he immediately after told me to eat chicken and rice which is just an example about how this doctor does not listen. AVOID at all costs.

Dr. Abergel listened to my concerns and answered any questions that I had prior to my procedures. He spent approximately 45-minutes with me during my initial visit and reviewed my chart and new my long, past medical history before he even stepped into the room. It was wonderful to find a doctor that takes the time they need to understand all of my health issues and concerns, as well as a wonderful bedside manner. Thank you, Dr. Abergel!

The guy was absolutely useless. He told me he didn’t know what to do with my condition. Yet he didn’t send me for an X-ray, didn’t even bother to refer me to another doctor that could help. I had to do my own research. He’s a disgrace to doctors. This happened several years ago.

Went to Dr Abergele for 18 months ... recently hospitalized for 5 days with a Crohn attack. He visited once! After being released I called for a follow up and received an appointment 4 months away... that’s the best he could do! Don’t waste your time with this sub par service!

I have had many gastrointestinal problems and was diagnosed with Crohn's disease. Besides Crohn's I also had other issues that no other doctor cared about. Dr. Abergel changed that! The minute I met him, I knew he cared and will be able to help me. He did much more than that....He is awesome!!!
