The office staff has no respect for the patients and it will take days to get anything accomplished for you. The so called staff that schedules the surgery’s took over 3 weeks to get back to me after I left 3 messages and they gave me attitude as if I was bothering them. The staff needs to be retrained and to learn some manners. It may be ok to act that way with their friends on the streets but not to patients trying to receive medical care. RUN FAR AND FAST FROM HERE!

Both myself and Michael VOLPE have been a patient of Dr. Micheal Degan and there are very few such caring and knowledgeable Doctors as well as taking time to make sure their patient has understood what their body tells them is wrong. He is a gift to his patience.

Diagnosed with prostate cancer. Dr. Degen was professional and great with options and next steps. He is great to deal with. One critical member of his staff is completely unresponsive. I have Called 5 times in the last two three weeks to get scheduled for a nuclear bone scan as per his direction but his secretary doesn’t answer or return voice messages. Now looking for another Dr. Schedule with this doctor is a losing GAMBLE.

Dr. Degen was awesome! I had a fantastic experience with him. His bedside was great and I always got the impression that he cared and made sure I was comfortable. He never rushed, answered all of my questions and made sure I understood everything. I highly recommend him and I'm very glad I found him. His staff, especially Christine, were very easy to work with and always available. She took care of and helped me with everything. This is a great group of people.

I haven't even seen by this doctor, but was abused by his staff. They irritated me to the point, when I used f world (big deal, every first grader is using this) and immediately used it as a weapon to terminate my appointment. Their telephone system is TERRIBLE. They do everything you never hear a human voice, then during the weekday connect you to the answering service. They ask you to fill endless online forms with unnecessary information. When I called 2 days prior to the appointment, Michael Degen secretary said, they did not receive anything and suggested to look to the spam folder. I have AARP/US Health Care advantage plan. When I wanted to double check, if they accept it, she asked me what is my primary insurance. When I told her that with advantage medicare plans, there no such thing, it is my primary, she start yelling and talking over me, then just hanged up. I requested office manager on subsequent calls. The lady called me after 4 hours and multiple persistence request. There were no conversation. The purpose of the call, that to let me know, that that would not a good place for me and seek somebody else. She promised me though to sent official email, when I would have this in writing and how to contact patient relations, which I am doing now. TERRIBLE PLACE!. DO NOT COME CLOSE!!!

This doctor is great, He operated on my stones and provided excellent after care. He is very knowledgeable askes questions and listens to your concerns. I had just met him in the ER and he treated me as I was a life long patient. Cannot say enough about his assistant Christine, she has gone above and beyond in helping navigate all aspects of the after care maze. She is always willing to help with any issue.

He did a great job on my surgery, gave me back my life and health. I feel great thanks to him.

I was very pleased with Dr. Degen's knowledge and patience in addressing my issues during a scheduled appointment, however, I recently had an unexpected problem, November 5th and for two days I did not get a response from his staff. When I finally did get a response, I was instructed to go to an Urgent Care Center. I am an established patient, going back over five years ago, when Dr. Stifelman did kidney surgery on me, and then referred me to Dr. Degen last year, so to be treated that way is troublesome and unprofessional.

He comes recommended but every time I call to make an appointment, i have waited over 30 minutes to actually speak with someone. I have yet to speak with anyone there. Remember not to call between 12-1 as it appears everyone goes to lunch en masse.

I agree in reference to the office. On several occations I have had to drive 30 minutes to their office because I could not contact the office. However, the doctors are excellent. I am lucky to have this level of care.
