List of Ny Spine And Pain Specialists-Port Jefferson Station's Reviews
They didn't care. Even with a referral from a surgeon that just did surgery on me.
Dr. Ahsan listens to my concerns and then offers good options to lessen my discomfort.
Everyone working there was extremely plesant and nice. The doctor spent plenty of time with me trying to learn what my issues were and how he could solve them. My feet are still numb, but if there' a cure, this doctor will find it.
Dr. Ahsan was so kind and knowledgeable. He explained things I didn't understand before and I am very glad I was referred to him.
Prescribe me medication. And told me the only side effect was tiredness. I left and looked it up, and it had all kinds of side effects and didn't even say nothing about drowsiness.
I was very impressed with Dr. Ahsan and his medical staff.
Dr Ahsan was very knowledgeable and informative as to my pain issue, I feel assured in his care, also the surrounding staff were all very pleasant
My first time visiting and was pleased with the experience
Dr Durkin addressed my concerns and did my procedure with great care and results
I would not recommend this doctor’s office for pain management. I’ve been a patient here several times and have undergone two procedures, yet I have only spoken to the actual doctor briefly right before each procedure. He was not friendly, and despite specifically scheduling follow-up appointments to see him, he has never once been available afterward. Instead, I’m always seen by a nurse practitioner. I wouldn’t mind that if they were compassionate and informed, but they walk in without knowing my case, minimize my concerns, and dismiss my pain even when my MRI scans show otherwise. During one procedure, I actually woke up under anesthesia. It was terrifying and emotionally distressing, especially because I already suffer from severe anxiety and claustrophobia. I was strapped down on the table and had such an adverse reaction that a nurse had to come in and hold my hands to try to calm me. Afterward, the anesthesiologist casually said, “sorry my plan didn’t work.” That level of carelessness is unacceptable. What made things worse was reviewing my medical records. The operative notes claimed I reported 80% pain relief after a medial branch block—completely untrue. I experienced zero relief, and both my husband and I voiced our disappointment at the time. Yet, the notes were altered to say otherwise. They also incorrectly documented my pain as being in my lower back, when I have consistently told them it’s in my upper and mid-back. This clearly shows they aren’t listening and aren’t accurately documenting my condition. This office has been unsympathetic, unprofessional, and misleading. I’ve since requested my records so I can move on to another doctor who will hopefully take my pain and concerns seriously.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
