Daniel Birk's Online Review Report Card

My husband William had spinal surgery in 1999 and was suffering in severe pain with terrible headaches and shoulder pain. We found out about an amazing surgeon named Dr. Daniel Birk of Port Jefferson NY.He performed his surgery in November 2021 and got immediate relief. He’s now back to his normal routine and feels amazing ! We are so grateful to Dr. Birk and his team.

The spine surgery went perfect, no issues. My calves feel fine and I can walk without pain. His recommendation for surgery at Mather Hospital was perfect. The staff was very considerate and the Hospital room and floor was spotless.

Dr Birk is a amazing , He recently performed a back surgery on me. Leading up to surgery throughout a month of appointments ,checks and balances he made himself available to me twenty four hours a day seven days a week .His staff helped me book my appointment s and he made himself available based off my availability. He truly cares and wants to help people in need. He made sure I had a full understanding of exactly what he was going to do ,how long the healing process was going to be and what my expectations should be going forward. He is truly a life changer and not just a Dr but also now a friend.

Dr Birk consulted on the cause and care of my brother who has a brain tumor and spinal stenosis. He was totally involved in helping us to navigate a very complex and difficult situation. Dr Birk consistently followed through, reached out with suggestions and was instrumental in solving our difficulties. He was compassionate and gave us great advice. A fine doctor.

Dr Birk is a true professional. Great doctor and surgeon. He made me feel very comfortable. Highly recommend Dr. Birk

When our 24yo autistic son started walking like he was clearly in pain but wasn't able to communicate what the problem was, God looked down upon us and sent us to Dr. Birk.His calm, confident and friendly demeanor from our very first visit put our minds at ease knowing that we made the right choice. He knew exactly what the problem was with our son's back and knew how to fix it.The surgery went exactly as planned and our son was walking normally within days (if not hours) of the minimally invasive surgery.Although he isn't able to say the words, the way our boy's face lights up when he sees Dr. Birk at our follow up visits says it all. Spiderman is our son's favorite superhero in the movies, but in real life, Dr. Birk holds that title!

He is Awesome. I saw him first in 12/2020. He showed me all my xrays and MRIs on a big screen. He told me exactly what was wrong with me, where my pain is and why I had it. He was 100% correct. He is the 1st doctor to preform back surgery on me, and he will be my only back doctor. He performed a spinal lumber fusion on me, and I feel like a new person. I can not say enough good things about him, he is by far the best. His secretary Martha is Awesome too. Anytime I need paper work ect she is always gets me what I need. Great teamwork.

I had my operation in May of 2021 and 5 months later, I am feeling wonderful. My pain has subsided and I am able to stand and walk again. I feel like a new woman. I would highly recommend Dr. Birk and his staff. They were extremely professional and patient with me.
