Great Dr very experienced & knowledgeable & explains everything to me. Thank G-d he is my Dr & great staff.
Wonderful experience. Spends time discussing my issues.. Moderate when it comes to medicines, which I so appreciate.. Very kind and caring...
Great Dr. ...All around !!! Everything you would want from your Doctor.
Dr Hess is a wonderful caring dr. with excellent bedside manner . Helpful with all treatments and the explanation of why and how it’s going to help you . Was very lucky to find him best endocrinologist I have seen . Very hard to get an appointment but well Worth the wait office staff is very friendly and helpful all around excellent experience thank you very much B.W.
Doctor Hess does the absolute bare minimum. I went to him for 3 years and he was under/ improperly medicating me. Every time I would ask him about new medications/ why nothing was working- he would tell me crazy elaborate made up reasons as to why I wouldnt take such medications so he didnt have to do the extra leg work (more blood tests/ tests in general). I eventually left for another opinion, and 2 new doctors later- they both agreed that he wasnt medicating me correctly, setting me back YEARS in treatment, and put me on new medications and EVERYTHING went back to normal within 6 months. All of my levels were back to a normal range, I lost a lot of weight, and I feel so much better. Doctor Hess is lazy and too conservative for this field. I really urge every patient seeing him that you should get a second opinion.
James Hess is a horrible doctor. I was seeing him for about 3 years and he was wrongly medicating me, wouldn't take the time to listen to other medications/ treatments I had read about, and kept me at poor stagnant health for years. I went to a different doctor for another opinion who agreed that he was doing me a severe disservice. Ever since I went to her, she listens to me, changed up my medication, and I am back to low-normal levels, lost a lot of weight, and no longer pre diabetic.
Dr. Hess has been both accurate, prompt and compassionate while dealing with my issues. When I needed to be seen following testing which was concerning, I was igotten in the next day. He spends as much time as you need to feel comfortable, and answers as many questions as you ask. I've followed him to his current location, and am planning to stay
Dr. Hess is supreme from every standpoint. His scientific insight is highly reliable and he is the most compassionate and humble doctor I have ever encountered over many decades.
He is not a good doctor. Don't waste your time. He may seem to be caring but he isn't. He should go into another profession.
Was a patient of Dr Hess. Called for a appt and blood work. Several phone calls back & forth for blood work Rx. Refused to give me Rx because I haven't been in to see him. I said I'd make a appt for visit they didn't have open appt for weeks so I couldn't get in to see him. I needed my medication levels checked. He wouldn't give me Rx and didn't had appt. so what was I to do? I asked his secretary to ask him please give me Rx and I'll take first appt I could get in. No was his answer. He doesn't care about his patients! Only $

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
