John C Kennedy's Online Review Report Card

I have been Dr. Kennedy's patient since 2012. After a skiing accident 18 years ago that led to sever arthritis in my ankle joint, seven orthopedic surgeons told me I need to fuse my ankle joint, an option I refused with all my heart. Then I came across Dr. Kennedy on the internet and paid him a visit. What a day when explained that I have a chance to undergo a procedure to replace the cartilage I have lost with new cartilage from my knee and therefore maintain motion in my joint. My wife and I couldn't believe it. He explained the whole procedure in great detail and we went ahead. I am 7 years out now and Im back to skiing and running. After the horror of thinking I will have my ankle fused, Dr. Kennedy was a godsend. Thank you from all my heart Dr. Kennedy. You really gave me my life back.

This doctor only cares about money. I had an awful experience with him, where I was charged tons of non covered costs. He runs a business, and doesn’t have the best interests of his patients in mind. John was so eager to have me do a procedure called PRP. It costs nearly 4K, and again is not covered. I later found out dr Kennedy is seeing a woman who’s a very well respected PRP researcher, any coincidence? I got two additional second opinions and both suggested Kennedy’s intentions were as I suspected. Each doctor noted they had heard of Kennedy’s behavior. The first time I met John, I was blown away. Charismatic, wise, thoughtful. I was a little jaded by my 10 minute $500 visit, but got over it. The more I went back, the more I learned this man is a fraud. Please do not go to him.

Surgery turned out very bad. No one seemed to care, they even attempted to hide the bad result from their statistics

I went to Dr. Kennedy in January of 2020 with a severe break in my ankle and leg, combined with torn tendons and ligaments. Dr. Kennedy was kind and attentive and his staff was friendly and helpful. He provided me with the best possible care and planned to treat my injuries without surgery. After three months my ankle and leg healed as Dr. Kennedy had predicted and surgery was avoided. Thank You Dr. Kennedy!!!!

Dr just sees dollar signs in his eyes with every patient who walks in the door. He is ONLY interested in surgery cases where he will make the most money.

Dr. Kennedy, took extra care in helping my torn ACL. I appreciate his help in treating and diagnosing my condition. He has been a god send as I have been to other doctors who could not help until I came to Dr. Kennedys practice. Thank you!

I had a serious injury on my ankle that Dr. Kennedy and his staff were able to diagnose, treat, and mediate. I would recommend Dr. Kennedy for any orthopedic needs as he has been very helpful!

Before I go into the review of Dr. Kennedy, a few things about me. I invest billions globally; I am an NYU alumnus and I have a quite a few health problems despite slightly shy of 40. My health problem unfortunately took me to Mayo Clinic, Columbia University Medical Center, etc. I have been always treated respectfully and professionally everywhere except Dr. Kennedy’s office. • I show in crutches in extreme pain (I checked in with pain level 10/10) and Dr. Kennedy’s sends 4-5 undergraduates ordering me to tell them my issues/history as Dr. Kennedy wants these kids to describe my case to Dr. Kennedy before he comes in and talks to me. Prior to the meeting, I made a time line of my foot issues in PowerPoint, and medical chart (including recent blood work, MRI images, etc) and printed for him to read. It was very annoying to describe the issues again and again while I am in extreme pain. • Dr. Kennedy came for 10 minutes (very expensive 10 minutes), and he came across as mildly arrogant (not friendly) and gave ZERO suggestions on how to take care of things while I am in pain. Dr Kennedy’s advice was blood work, MRI and surgery down the line. • The nurse did bloodwork and as I was leaving, Dr. Kennedy forgot one test and I was jabbed again in another arm to get more blood (all within 5 minutes). This was forgivable but annoying. • I got MRI tests done same day as the day I saw Dr. Kennedy. I had to hound the office with 3-4 phone calls (since he mentioned some potential autoimmune issue it got me paranoid) over 1.5 weeks to get results. Dr. Kennedy was too busy to call and explain me the results. • Instead when I called the 4th time, I got transferred to the nurse who explained me the results after 9 days of testing (the receptionist claims the delay was due to CRP test which magically took 8 days to process while everywhere else (labs, hospital, etc.) it takes only 1 day to process CRP test) • Again, the nurse told me what Dr. Kennedy recommended for next steps which was same as the other orthopedic doctor I was seeing. I would not recommend him as his office seems unprofessional, and Dr. Kennedy has no time to get back to you from making $’s. Imagine if you had some complications after surgery and you will be dealing with crappy aftercare. Also, it seems his team has a very slick social media marketing team and builds up the hype (I admit I did buy the hype as I assumed, he would be god like). I would recommend going to Hospital for Special Surgery as they are #1 in Orthopedics and their best surgeon is still cheaper while paying cash or insurance.
