I have been going to Dr Shawn Allen/Christopher Baker for over 20 years. I have very happy with Dr. Allen and Christopher Baker as my doctors. In todays world Doctors aren't always available to see, but they know when I have been to urgent care and follow up with a visit. I am confident in the care they give me. Kim Hardee
MHTA Dr. Allen treats the young adult patients on our psych ward. He is wonderful. He makes time for each and every patient. He is thorough, empathetic and friendly to both coworkers and patients. We need more doctors like Dr. Allen!
Do not recommend I briefly spoke to Mr Allen and he was supposed to talk to me afterwards. He did not speak to me as he stated he would. He falsified statements big time! I do not recommend him.
EVANGELINA is cold & rude. Wrong character for a doctors office. The Nurse Practitioners gave me the wrong information several times
Dr. Allen is a great Doctor if you ever actually get an appointment to see her. Unfortunately she is rarely available, so you get in with her PA, who has a rude demeanor and is very abrupt. Due to the treatment my elderly parent has received there, I am becoming an advocate for the eldery who are not treated very kindly. It's unfortunate that things are so overwhelming that you can't get an appointment for months, even if you need one for very serious problems, and then always having to see someone else, not the Doctor. I'd be shocked if they haven't received quite a few complaints regarding this, especially since the assistant or PA is not very kind. The nurses and Desert Oasis are great though, they have been very nice and have helped make up for the rude encounters.
This doctor almost killed my boyfriend. He completely stopped his benzodiazipine medication for his severe anxiety and he was on the medication for a long time. I am a nurse and told him you can't do that, there is a high chance of seizure and even death which every reputable physician would know. He responded that I didn't go to med school and that I didn't know what I was talking about. My boyfriend suffered with severe anxiety and on his way to the bathroom dropped to the floor having a violent seizure from the withdrawals. Called an ambulance and they got him stable and luckily he was okay. Dr Allen should be held accountable and lose his license. He should NOT be treating physicians!
This doctor is so high on himself that it's not even funny. He almost killed my boyfriend by refusing to continue his prescription for Ativan, that he has been on for years! I am a nurse and know that when being on a benzodiazipine long term, you can't wean too fast or stop abruptly otherwise, there is a high chance you can have a seizure or even worse death! My boyfriend had a bad seizure and ended up in the hospital! Lucky he wasn't alone when he had it! He feels he's superior to everyone and that he knows everything! He needs to be fired!
This doctor is a sick perv! He asked me on my first visit for DEEP details about my intimate life. I said how is this related to my evaluation? Then he responded that, "I could have an intimate related mental illness". I left his office IMMIDATELY! By intimate I do mean by $ex. Sorry it wouldn't let me say it on here. PLEASE LADIES STAY AWAY FROM THIS DOCTOR! HIS MEDICAL LICENSE SHOULD BE REVOKED!
He is caring, empathetic and open to patient feedback. The best doctor I’ve ever had. Has a sense of humor, too. :)
This doctor retaliated against me when I expressed concerns to his clinic director about the quality of the care I was receiving from him. He failed to acknowledge and respect a medical diagnosis from the Social Security Administration. He failed to issue Patient Summaries at the conclusion of each outpatient visit.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
