I felt pressure on my tooth with a filling, but NO pain. I communicated this to the Dentist. The dentist decided to drill into my tooth that day and put a temporary filling in my tooth because she said she preferred ceramic fillings. Fine, I took her advice. The ceramic filling did not come for about 3 weeks. Then, the dentist was on vacation so I had a temporary filling in my tooth (a very uncomfortable one at that) for over a MONTH. The office called me twice to reschedule. I called back to have it fixed at that time when the ceramic filling arrived and the office said, no other dentist could do the work in the meantime since the first dentist started the work. Serenity now ;) The dentist finally came back from vacation and so I went in to finally have the temp removed and the permanent filling put in, however part of the ceramic filling did not fit in my tooth correctly. Wow, I told the dentist I did not care if I had part ceramic and part plastic fillings in the tooth (because at this pointI did not trust the dentist or the office's competency any longer). The dentist did the filling and it now hurts with added pressure. I have been patient and polite the entire time with this office, but people really need to know how my experience with The Smilist in Port Washington went. Very badly. I do not recommend them at all.

I travel an hour and a half in each direction from northern Westchester County to see Dr Salem because he is most definitely worth the trip. His most pleasant “bedside” personality and work product exceed my expectations every time. His hands work magic, painless, with each procedure! A most amazing dentist and, oh, very reasonably priced! Highly recommend 5 stars!!

I am a very nervous patient, and wouldn’t think of going to any dentist other than Dr. Salem, he’s the best! Dr. Salem, Lynette, Lori and the entire staff are all amazing!

Everyone in this office is amazing! They put me at ease and Dr. Salem is great for routine and cosmetic visits. I just got veneers and it was quick and painless. I have never been so happy with my smile!!

For a dental baby, I love this practice. Everyone is so kind and fun. I feel like I'm coming to a friend's house, not.... "the dentist!" LOL! I highly recommend Dr. Salem - he is the BEST!

I was met in the parking lot by the COVID screener before I could call to announce my arrival and then accompanied into the office and immediately escorted to the dental chair. Lori was waiting for me for my routine exam and cleaning and Dr Salem stopped-in twice to check. It really can’t get better than this office!
