after having supposed diverticulitis more than 5 years and constant amoxicillin..I felt something more was wrong.The CT scan,and scoping did not disclose anything severe nor did my blood testing...but we decided to operate and once in I had a severely infected 1 ft colon....than was originally going to take 2 hrs to remove but took actually more than 5....he was patient with me. He took his time. Even in early morning hrs post surgery he was available. the 7 holes made are very small. The surgery trans umbilical is as small as it could be. Pan management for me has been hard to achieve...but he repeatedly tried numerous things that work on others until he got something that worked on me. that consumed alot of his time.he never complained or was annoyed. I had a accidental serious bleeding 3 days after surgery while still in hospital. Nobody went crazy.They moved me to ICU....for parts of 2 days...and watched mt closely letting my body fix it...if itcould....That wait was a effective way to proceed rather than thinking of resurgery....You can not beat a dr with experience and ability WHO LISTENS. Im grateful he took my case....my quality of life will be gained....and im appreciative of all he did for me...

Dr. Abourezzi attended my Mother many times prior to her passing in 2001. Without his help I believe my time with her would have been shorter.

Dr. Abouezzi correctly diagnosed my condition, sphincter of oddi dysfunction (blocked bile duct) that every other doctor I saw missed. I was told by my gastroenterologist I needed gall bladder surgery. I was in constant extreme pain. Dr. Abouizzi reviewed my lab results and admitted me to the hospital for 4 days, I had pancreatits. Dr. Abouezzi ordered tests and coordinated my care with a specialist and my gastro. The tests showed I had a rare condition, sphincter of Oddi Dysfunction, a blocked bile duct, He made arrangements for me to see the specialist, one of the few that could do the procedure to open my bile duct. The procedure was successful and later Dr. Abouezzi did remove my gallbladder. I will always be grateful that he correctly diagnosed my problem and found the specialist who could fix the problem and relieve my pain.

Help me out so much with my pain. He was so great with my gallbladder surgery that I was up and walk with in a hour after surgery.

He literally saved my mom's life doing a very complicated surgery. My mom had ischemic bowel and almost all her bowel had to go. Doctor Abouezzi did the successful surgery and spent a lot of time with us and my mom after the surgery to explain to us what happened and what can be the next step. He became more of a family friend than just the surgeon who did the surgery. He is not only a great doctor, but a fabulous human being.

I was diagnosed with rectal cancer and every one of my doctors in my circle of care recommend Dr Abouezzi. I was terrified but on my first visit he made feel like I had hope and took the time with me that I needed to feel comfortable. Dr Abouezzi is the most compassionate doctor I have ever met! Surgery was a success and Dr. Abouezzi is my life saver! I would recommend him to everyone!!!

I was told by two Registered Nurses that Dr. Abouezzi was the best surgeon in the region and after my surgery, I am convinced that he has earned that reputation. He performed Laparoscopic repair of my giant hiatal paraesophageal hernia, and once inside, he found that my entire stomach was in my chest. This made it much more difficult to pull it all back down into my abdomen and securing it in place. He is compassionate, a great listener and always gave me all the time I needed. He was also very thorough with his care during my recovery. He did a great job and if I ever need another surgery, Dr. Abouezzi will be my first choice. He also has a great office manager and staff. May God bless the Doctor and his staff. Thanks to them, I can eat without wondering if my food will find an easy passage.

He is a horrible surgeon. He ruined my 17 year old son's life. His hernia surgery went totally wrong and he ended up with severe nerve damage. He has been suffering for over 6 months with severe pain and nothing helps him. He ruined my son's health and well being. I warn you do not use him for any procedure for yourself or any other family member. You will be truly sorry you did.
