Dr. Carl Barbera did complicated surgery on tibia just under my knee which I had broken (applied metal plate & screws). Thanks God, today I have absolutely all normal ability: I can walk all day long , low sit down, sit on my feet and for today run carefully. The result speaks for itself - the Dr. Barbera performed an excellent surgery! I sincerely thanks Dr. Carl Barbera and his team of assistants!
I had injury 1.5 years ago after skiing in winter 2020. My bones under knee were broken (fibula and tibia) on numbers of pieces. Dr. Carl Barbera did surgery with metal plate & screws. And today in 1.5 years I have absolutely all ability as used to do before: walk all day long, carefully run, low sit down and also sit on my feet. Well, the result speaks for itself - the Dr. Barbera performed an excellent operation! I sincerely thanks God and Dr. Carl Barbera and his assistants!
Dr. BARBARA is a great surgeon, he's very well educated and professional. He always takes time with you treating you as if you are very special to him. He like a grandfather being so caring. My wife and I had to both have two surgeries and we both feel so happy that we found him. You need help see Dr. Barber he's the best. ..........Robert Nelson
Dr Barbers listened to my problem with my knee. After testing he diagnosed a torn meniscus and we decided on a surgical repair. He was very professional and patient with me. My knee is great and I'm back to doing water aerobics four days a week. Thank you Dr. Barbera!
Has NOT diagnosed me fully yet after 2 visits and a completely debilitating nerve test.says ,it could be this or that..actually said my pay scale prevents me from giving you more information! Really ..you probably make 3 x what I do..although a really nice guy..I probably winter back.
OPERATED TWICE SAME KNEE (REPLACEMENT). FEEL WORSE NOW THAN BEFORE BOTH OPERATIONS. SUFFERIUNG 2 YEARS.
We waited over an hour for our appointment and then waited longer in the exam room. Dr. Spent a short time examing my son and then ordered more tests to be done at the hospital. The staff was not helpful or even available at times to help set up and receive authorizations for procedures. At times the staff was very rude or they just pushed me off onto someone else and I had to explain the entire situation again. Dr. Barbera was often not available to speak to and I was told he would not get back to me for days since he was not in the office and there was no way to get a message to him.. This is supposedly a specialist in Orthopedic Oncology! I would not recommend him to anyone!
Appointments are not always on time, as he has many patients to see, but is an excellent surgeon who knows a lot about orthopedic surgery. He is very helpful in making the patient understand what happens before and after the surgery and has a great bedside manner. If you have any questions he can answer them and put your mind at ease.
I have nothing bad to say about Dr. Barbera. He was very courteous and made me feel at ease. He did a great job explaining my condition and you can tell that he is very knowledgable.
I had a horrible experience at the Wappingers office and with the staff at the main office in Poughkeepsie. I waited an hour and a half on two seperate occasions to meet with Carl Barbera who misdiagnosed my injury in five minutes and sent me out the door. I may have permanent damage to my ankle as a result of his negligence. The Wappinger office tripple books in order to make the most money off people as possible, the staff are rude and the CEO's response? "Sue us!" you know what? I think I will.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
