Cho Michael's Online Review Report Card

This is aimed at his new bureaucratic and unhelpful office, not his professional skills as a surgeon. I’m an existing patient of Dr. Cho, but his appointment service at his quite new practice refused to let me see him until I tracked down the records HE kept at the practice he recently left (with no notice to patients). No help was offered besides giving me a phone number to call. It seems to me that they should have asked me for authorization to get the records he kept and they should have found them. We the patients are not customers. We are just the means to get paid by the insurance companies. The insurance companies are the customers.

My first communication was with the staff to make an appointment. I was put on hold and the phone started to ring. It sounded like some one picked up the phone and then hung up. When I called back it said the office was closed. When I finally got through they said “oh yeah it should say that. We close for lunch, that should be changed.” At my appointment I had to fill out paper work. I’m not sure why since I’m in the Health Quest system anyway. I filled them out. They took a copy of my insurance card and license. Again should be in the system. One paper I was asked to sign was a consent for treatment. I thought that was a mistake since I was there for a consultation and not treatment. In a loud voice the receptionist said the doctor will not see you unless you sign this paper. Dr. Cho told me my spine was really bad, injections won’t help, PT won’t help, you could have surgery in 2-3 years maybe a year. Phished to see if I wanted pain med. I did not. Very dissatisfied.

Dr. Cho was very focused and demonstrated a confidence which made my visit comfortable.

I met Dr Cho in the Trauma center at West. Med. in Poughkeepsie after a terrible fall. I had several concerning injuries one of which was several areas of bleeding in the brain. I vaguely remember seeing him that night but my family told me that he took the time to explain what was going on and the tests they would be running. I was in ICU for several days and in came in to check on me and update me on my progress. 2 weeks later I was seen again in his office for a follow up where he answered all my questions and concerns regarding my memory loss. Never thought I would ever need his expertise but I'm glad he was on call that night

I would highly recommend Dr. Cho. He saved my mother being diagnosed quadriplegic. She is now able to move her arms & legs.

Dr Cho installed a shunt on my head for hydrocephalus. I made a very fast recovery and am now (after 6 months) fully ambulatory and driving. Dr Cho visited me almost every day during the critical recovery stage in rehab and is very personable with a great sense of humor. I have heard from several other people that Dr Cho is highly thought of in the Duchess county area. I was lucky to find him as I traveled from Virginia to be his patient.

Dr. Cho is wonderful doctor. I had a shunt installed on my skull by him for correction of hydrocephalus. He was always willing to share information and answer any questions I had for him. All the procedures went very smoothly and I have progressed from falling down and not being able to get up to being fully ambulatory, driving and living a normal life again.

My husband was told he needed spine surgery 5 years ago and decided not to have it done, Dr Cho told my husband if he didnt have it done he could be in worse shape and thats exactly what happened 5 years later he could harldly walk. My husband went back to Dr. Cho and had the surgery and is now almost 100 percent. Dr. Cho is a fantastic surgeon and we would highly recommend him without any doubts.. He takes his time while in his office with you without one foot out the door and always answers all your questions no matter how long it takes. Nicest Dr. we have ever met....
