David Weinreich Md's Online Review Report Card

"Don't grunt! Several months ago I witnessed Dr. Weinreich having what appeared to be a melt-down. I needed clarification on my prognosis which, appeared to trigger a sudden temper tantrum. His demeanor abruptly went from professional to ugly. He angrily repeated several times, "You're having a good time aren't you?" I just sat there not knowing what was going on. "Don"t grunt," he said. I asked why. "Your aneurysm might pop!" he said. "You have blockages." Dr. Weinreich continued. Where?, I asked. "Everywhere!" - he replied without any specificity. This bizarre encounter ended abruptly, I subsequently canceled the next appointment and the additional tests he ordered. The only thing that made sense of Dr. Weinreich unprofessional demeanor was that he could unload on someone who is unlikely to complain. I worked out of Bellevue Hospital as a MAC-certified, Advanced Life Support, Paramedic for several years before serving 25 years in Law Enforcement. I'm not a doctor but my training and experience as a public servant was more than enough for me to realize that Dr. Weinreich was probably in distress, the brunt of which I had taken. Advising a patient not to grunt because of an aneurysm implies a medical emergency, requiring immediate intervention because a cough, sneeze, hiccoughs, laughter or any number of bodily functions would cause death from a ruptured aneurysm. No emergency medical intervention was ordered. He further advised, during his apparent meltdown, that I had blockages everywhere. If taken literally, I should have been D.O.A. I'm sure the Dr. Weinreich has helped many patients live longer lives in his many years of practicing medicine as a Cardiologist. I don't think I was one of them. I hope it wasn't because I am Black.

Dr. Weinreich is the best!!! He's kind, understanding, thoughtful, caring, and he's a wonderful cardiologist. I was his patient for over 15 years and even now since I've moved to PA, and haven't seen him in the last 4 years, he is still the one I call for advice and help. One day he called me on the phone just to say hello and see how I was doing. How great is that!!! Dr. Weinreich is the cream of the crop when it comes to being a doctor. You won't find a better Cardiologist around!

Dr. Weinreich is an outstanding, empathetic and thorough physician who has taken the time to get to know me and my spouse well. He listens carefully and thoughtfully, and has apparently agonized over the best treatment for my heart problems. We follow Dr. Weinreich's advice without question, and enjoy each and every visit we have with him. He's a fine human being.

Wonderful doctor that truly cares. Takes the time and does necessary tests to keep his patients healthy. Recommend him every chance I get!
