Very nice bedside manner. Easy got an appointment, no waiting.

I have an arthritic knee. Dt. Thompson was recommended to me and I did a little research on my own reading the 5.0 Google reviews. I see him about once a year with each appointment initiated by me so I can monitor the progression of my knee and to review the changes. Due to COVID, I haven't seen him in over a year. As with all of the three previous appointments, I left my appointment today thinking wow he does not like me. He is very short and acts like I am bothering him. I don't see him much but I am tired of feeling like he couldn't be bothered. Doesn't even smile. I am sure to tell him how I feel at my next appointment. I have to go back in one month. It will probably be my last appointment with him. I'm looking for someone new.

My husband and I have known Dr. Thompson for nearly 20 years. He is an excellent surgeon and a genuinely nice guy. Recently he helped my husband to get gel injections for his knee that the Ins. Co. initially did not want to cover. Thank you Dr. Thompson, now my husband is not suffering in pain. Cheryl/MHRH.

Over the years, I have been to him for my knee, shoulder and my hip. He replaced both my right knee and hip and I had PT for my shoulder. He is an amazing surgeon and has greatly improved my mobility. I have recommended several friends and family to him and they are just as satisfied with their results.

After meeting with 2 other Surgeons he was THE best, hands down. After total Right Hip replacement was immediately pain Free. Hiking 3.5 miles after 2 weeks. After years of abusing my hip in athletic endeavors I did not want to give up, he gave me hope and delivered. . Highly recommend.

Dr T was not only my surgeon he was once my boss. He is a good and honorable man . Dr T has a special way of making you feel at ease, you will find a smiley face when removing surgical gauze. It was truly a honor and privilege to have worked for him, and most importantly an amazing surgeon to my husband and I. Excellence is his bedside manner and perfection is achieved when he operates. One of the most amazing person/doctor /employer I've ever known . God bless him, my knee has never bothered me again, ditto from my husband's shoulder and hand.

Dr. Thompson did my total right knee replacement. Excellent surgeon with great office/bedside manners. He told me if I worked hard at my PT, I would be good in no time. He was right and I was driving again in 3 weeks and was back to work much sooner than expected.

This gentle and unassuming surgeon is absolutely amazing. I had a total hip replacement in June of 2019. I was up walking the next day and back to work in 3 weeks. He is a talented and skilled man and is direct which I admire. No garbage, just the facts, and a great sense of humor which I appreciated greatly. I ditched my cane within 5-6 weeks and am better than new today, thanks all to William Otto Thompson!

I never write a review, and will spare the details. But, I want to advise anyone considering Dr. Thompson to NOT. There are others. Talk to people and choose wisely. I realize things happen with all treatments and surgeries, but you need to know if you have a problem it will be addressed. You know your body and when you voice concerns, you don't want someone ignoring you or telling you everything is normal. Because....it may be too late before you seek another opinion and your well being is affected.

Five to six years ago I had tremendous pain in my right knee. I worked a twelve hour shift which required me to be on my feet at least ten of those hours. I went to another orthopedic doctor first, who suggested surgery. I then went to Dr. Thompson who explained we would try alternative treatments instead of surgery as a first option. Dr. Thompson gave me an injection in my knee on my second visit. After 48 hours, my pain was completely gone. I went for physical therapy for a few weeks. I have never experienced that pain again. Thank God, and thank you Dr. Thompson!
