List of Robert Cristofaro's Reviews
Let’s be honest. The care and service of this team is wonderful and they Communicate. But sometimes patients are impatient, too pushy and loud ,disrespectful to the staff. It’s hard to squeeze everyone in and give everyone the quality and good care and listening skills that they deserve. Bring a book your tablet and your patience and your going to receive great care. Sometimes patients need take a look n mirror at their behavior and sit down. All n all great team!
Dr. Cristofaro was a miracle worker! My daughter fractured her femur bone and upon meeting Dr. Cristofaro at Children's Hospital Westchester he put me and my daughter at ease. He explained the procedure and was so kind to my daughter. I can't thank him enough. Her recovery was quick and she is now completely back to normal. I would recommend him to everyone.
If you decide to book a consultation with this practice be prepared to meet the most unprofessional and rude staff. the doctors are no better, Doctor Nelson told my mother her torn shoulder tendon could not be fixed and sent her through numerous physical therapies that were useless at best and probably damaged the tendon further since when something is torn like that there is no massage and weight lifting that would fix it. he dragged her appointments for a year of just prescribing pain meds, we finally consulted with a different doctor and he told my mother what she had was easy to fix and very routinary for people her age, when we when back to doctor Nelson to retrieve my mothers MRI images we were met with the utmost rudeness and were accused of retrieving them already which we never did because she had no need for them, long story short we had to pay to get a duplicate of the MRI from radiology and went with a different doctor, now my mother had a very successful surgery and she is pain-free, the first time in years. Please do not go to these doctors, they do not deserve that title.
I would like to inform anyone that plans on seeing Dr. Cristafano and his staff to be prepared to deal with the most disrespectful and unprofessional doctors office that my family and I have ever been too. This staff would not grant me a morning appointment so I had to ask my wife to assist me because of the drive. I had to bring my children to this appointment because I would not be able to pick them up from their bus stops. My children are 10, 9, 7, and 3 years old. I had 2 prior neck surgeries and I am about to be operated on my shoulder. This office was running 2 hours behind and had no seats available for patients. When I complained the office manager said to my family and I that this appointment was just for me not my kids !! WOW , I wonder how he would feel if someone spoke to him and his family in the same manner. Due to the reasons that I stated above I was upset and confused. Finally after 2 hours Dr. Cristafano decides to call my name. This man acted like nothing was wrong. When I complained about his staff and the wait he became defensive and told me that he would not apologize. I was offended, I spoke my mind and in return after having such a long and stressful day he smiled and told me to reschedule my appointment. To anyone reading my review please be aware that the office manager has a nasty attitude so who can I complain too ? Absolutely no-one, the office manager told me that there was no one above him that I can speak to. To anyone reading this how would you feel if you were disabled and accompanied by your wife and children to be treated in this manner. Lucky for me I have a beautiful family that has supported me and will continue to support me. Yes, I may be disabled but I am still a human being. Please treat others the way you would want someone to treat you. From Richard, have a blessed evening.
Dr. Cristofaro was called in during a severe storm to operate on my son after he fractured his femur in a MVA. He is a wonderful and amazing doctor who did a great job on my son. He saw him for one year after to remove the hardware and again did a terrific job. I would recommend Dr. Cristofaro to other patients.
Dresses in his Hugo Boss/Armani suits, arrogant. Staff is rude.
Similar to the other reviews - I would have given them zero stars as well if allowed. The wait time in both appointments was long (more than 45 min in the first). We had castings on both legs but they provided no casting shoes and sent us on a goose chase in order to find them. Apparently they are only capable of casting and don't care about how a child is supposed to live / get around in cast. We called with questions / suggestions as to where to get children's cast shoes after being unable to find them and asked to speak directly to the doctor and we were told that he would call back when he had time but his call never came. When the castings were cut off (again, both legs) he didn't even look at his feet / legs to see if there was an improvement or to make a final assessment. Just generally unprofessional and I would seek help from anywhere else.
Like anywhere now a days office waiting can be long. If you want great care and a doctor with staff who listen and respond to your calls this is the place. Bring a book you been trying catch up on or tablet and relax cause the care given is what's more important.
Dr. Cristofaro came highly recommended for his expertise in Club Feet. Both my children have club feet and he's been treating each of them since about 3 days old! Yes, I agree, if your timing is poor, you will wait a very long time- his office does overbook him, its often crowded and they don't supply anything fun for the little ones. I also agree that your visit will be short - very short... BUT we have had second opinions and Shriners Hospital agreed that Dr. C had not steered us wrong. We have built a trust in him (given he sees about 75 cases of club feet a year), and we feel he's always had our sons' best interests at heart. He's been gentle with our boys and they don't mind visiting him for follow-ups every 4-6 months. Our children's feet are looking beautiful and all his work seems to be confirmed by some other top doctors who deal with this type of deformity. We like that he's treated our children's feet aggressively and has always aimed for them to function and appear just as anyone else's "normal" feet.
After I received X-rays he told me I had a chipped elbow and I was fine, and not to put pressure on it and it would heal. I brought my own sling he told me to come back 6 weeks. I receive a bill for $1,200 and that was separate from the X-ray bill. Except for reading the x-rays and seeing me move my elbow he did nothing. When I call about the bill Dr. Cristofaro tells me that’s what his time costs for taking up a seat in his office and I should blame Obama. He is Overcharging and Rude to people

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
