As someone who needs help but shys away from reaching our to professional, i encourage you to NOT be like me and push your mental wellness aside. Having served in the military , I felt like I didn't need to get any help and just bury my thoughts and feelings. This has turned out bad for my mental psyche and has bled into my personal relationships and even work. I saw somewhere on Facebook about empire psychiatry and decided to try...why not right? Well, after a few months I'm glad I did. Not only was I treated with respect and care, but I actually, genuinely feel like my life is better. I don't have clouded thoughts and I have more energy for my work and personal life. I am grateful 🙏 I am happy and above all, I can start getting my life back together. Thank you Empire.

My mother has been a patient here for quite some time and I have lots of gratitude for the staff here for how kindly they treat her. Any questions that we have are responded to promptly. I brought her to see a psychiatrist when she started to have issues with insomnia and severe depression out of nowhere when she turned 70. We tried everything for a few months until we decided she needed to seek medication. Her primary doctor recommended Empire Psychiatry and getting her in was a pretty straightforward and easy process. It took around 6 weeks for us to start seeing a difference, but it’s been a little over a year of her being treated here and she is back to her normal self. Her provider was not flustered at all even when admittedly we were high strung and very nervous at first. We stuck to the game plan and she is doing so much better. She’s back to exercising and her old hobbies and I have this practice to thank for that!

I’ve been a patient here for 3 years and cannot say enough good things about this practice. I recommend this office to my friends who usually complain to me about their psychiatrist. My insurance is accepted here and I never have any issues. One of the few medical offices that consistently provide great care. Highly recommend!

Probably the only psychiatrist in the forest hills area that I will see from now on. My mental health was going down hill but they were very compassionate and understanding about my concerns. I felt comfortable and was able to talk through my thoughts without feeling judged. Highly recommend Empire Psychiatry if you're looking for a place that will take their time to really understand you.

One of the best experiences I've had with a psychiatrist's office. Incredibly nice staff. Kris and Amy are always a pleasure to deal with and they were able to get me in for an appointment in a little over a week. My provider was able to answer all my medication questions and made sure to give me timely follow-ups to monitor me after any medication changes. Overall, I recommend this office to anyone looking for psychiatric help.

It's taken me forever to find a practice that doesn't have a super long wait time for my medication management and finally found this office. My psychiatrist that I was using closed his office and I didn't realize how hard it was to find someone new! Thankfully, after my first session I got my prescription refilled without any hiccups, and I feel relieved to have become a patient here. Nice office staff with friendly and knowledgeable providers. Can't ask for more than that.

I've been at Empire Psychiatry for my ADHD a long time now and I like the fact the staff listens to you instead of rushing you out just to get the insurance payment. They have a few office you can call and getting set up for an appointment usually takes a few minutes, and they'll make sure to take care of you. They're flexible with most insurance and the receptionist is super helpful and willing to assist you get it set up (just make its within their network)
