Lost faith in 2007 over a minor issue. Found a better doctor. Unfortunately my best friend who also was a longtime patient was misdiagnosed from June 2013 - September 2013 and wouldn’t change doctors until Dec when diagnosed with stage 4 cancer which was probably a 2 -3 in June.

Lempel, I like and think is a good doctor, however the administrative staff is the pits. Appointments are sometimes only available months away. I had a biopsy and never received the results. I had an appt, they changed it for their convenience and when I appeared for the appt, they accused me of failing to appear for the original one. I made an appt today with Dr Lempel. When I got there, I was told I would be seeing a physician's asst. I was not told that when I made the appt or I would not have made it. I would have waited the 2 months it usually takes. I once was scheduled for a physical and no one notified me not to eat. Often the staff was downright rude to me. As I said. I like Lempel, but I'm looking for a new doctor.

Dr Lempel is an experienced physician who certainly stands out from the perspective that he is not pushing unnecessary tests or procedures, unlike others in this field. The office where he practices is very efficient, the staff is friendly and test results are available online within 24-48 hours.

Several years ago after being x-rayed in the hospital It was determined that I was coming down with pneumonia. The hospital called Dr. Lempel to get approval on a strong antibiotic. He gave the hospital a hard time & ultimately got me a prescription for a very mild antibiotic (the staff didn't know what to make of this). Two weeks later I ended up in the hospital with full blown pneumonia. Dr. Lempel nearly cost me my life.
