Dr. Irma Matos Rivera is amazing and is very pleasant and knows exactly what she is doing. However the 2 stars are for the office I take my children to see her, which is run by advantagecare. I wish Dr Matos-Rivera would free herself of AdvantageCare and go her own way or with another company because they are super rude, don't care about patients or customers at all. Dr. Matos-Rivera is a great Dr. She is very passionate with kids. My son is very comfortable with her. She explains what is wrong with your child and is very thorough. I also love they mail you a letter when they do their blood work and tells you everything went well. She answers all my questions and relieves all my concerns. She is also patient and kind.

After making my daughters appt and confirming it today, the doctor actually refused to see my daughter stating if there is nothing wrong with her then she has to come back next month for her yearly physical. Her office confirmed with me this morning that it was for a yearly physical under a new plan. Twice I confirmed with her office. This place was formerly queens Long Island medical group. I filed a complaint with their administration but nothing will come of it because it's run by doctors. I am a health care professional myself and I know how it works. She is not any good anyway despite her 30 years experience. It's time for her to retire.

The doctor is a very nice person, but she refuse to give my son anit-biotics and he needed it. It took 2 hours for me to see the doctor sitting in the waiting room her staff is so rude.I don't see her anymore, i found a new ped and love him.
