List of Christopher Hoy's Reviews
Absolutely the best doctor I've ever seen
VERY PERSONABLE
Dr Hoy has been such a blessing to my husband and me for over 8 years dealing with kidney failure. He is always able to explain things in a manner that is easily understood and logical. He is caring and compassionate and realizes that patient compliance can sometimes fall short but encourages small changes to head us in the right direction. I am so thankful that Dr Hoy was helping us deal with this ...
Dr. Hoy started out very caring, but many times he blurted out the most rude comments. After awhile he became more agitated & insulting, almost every time I visited him , especially for taking notes. After a misunderstanding about the appointment dates he blew up at me, so I decided to leave him. Later that day, his nurse call me & her tone was just an extension of his rude tone; I told her to tell him to get in touch with his anger mang’t issues. Two minutes later Dr. Hoy called me and said, “ I can get you treatment for your bipolar disorder” First of all, in the 2 years I saw him I was never told by anyone I had this, not by a therapist & certainly not by Dr. Hoy. For him to call me this, just because he was angry that I left his practice & say, I’m bipolar, is a form of negligence… If he thought I had that diag it is obligation to tell me, & not mention it out of spite. This is an insult to anyone who is bipolar. I consider him highly unprofessional & narcissistic.
He has been my physician for many years. He also has treated members of my family, all good. I recommend him to anyone who needs a primary in our area.
Dr, Hoy was sensitive to my aging father-in-law and allowed him his dignity as my f-i-l was a very private person. When my f-i-l was hospitalized, Dr. Hoy tracted him very carefully and discussed options as his health inevitably declined, deciding which were the best for him.
Dr Hoy is disciplined with time, but not all then waiting is his fault. He just has a habit of speaking out of line and can be nasty. He may know his stuff, but what difference does it make if you leave there feeling unsettled, insulted, not liked and challenged? I could go on and on, but I won't. I will give credit where credit is due, he does care...but if I could say to him....life is too short to over diagnose with your pshchoanalysis and criticizm for people surfing then net. Everyone does, so if someone has a question just answer it and don't get caught up in person feelings. Towards the end you drained me and I really felt if I were to ever get really sick you may not care for me. All Dr's make you wait, so that is never an issue. If they are late they are probably doing their job, and not being bound by the insurance company guidelines, which are ridiculous.
He knows his stuff however his bedside manor and professionalism is a little rough. My father doesn't understand medical terms very well so I usually went to the big appointments with him to ask questions and help my dad. Dr hoy seemed short with me at times when I asked questions and it was almost as if he was annoyed I was there helping my dad understand dialysis. When my dad requested another doctor Dr hoy threw his hands in the air, mumbled something and walked away.
Superior doctor, pays strong attention to detail , follows up personally.
Dr. Hoy is kind and considerate. He ALWAYS takes the time to talk over any health issue. He follows up even if he has to do it during the evening hours. If he is unsure of a health problem, he will do research on it and get back to you. My entire family, including my grandmother, mother and now my husband and I, have been patients of Dr. Hoy. We all have had great respect and confidence in his skills.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
